The story is mutating:

Cutler’s defenders miss the point. No one is really questioning Cutler’s toughness. We know he took a beating this season behind a leaky offensive line.

We’re questioning Cutler’s love of the game. A quarterback, a leader, has to love the game.

On Sunday, Cutler carried himself like someone who plays football primarily because he was born with the gift and the job pays well. It turned us off. It upset us.

No matter your football resume -- high school hero, college scrub, retired Super Bowl champion -- if you love the game, you would’ve given anything to be in Cutler’s shoes on Sunday. And you believe you would’ve handled the situation differently.

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/why-jay-cutler-quitting-on-chicago-bears-makes-us-so-livid-012411

So now you're mad at Cutler because he doesn't look like he's having as much fun as you would have playing out there?

How can you actually write this garbage, much less proof read it, present it to an editor, having him proof read, without realizing how dumb it sounds?

Nice job changing the story after the fact there Whitlock.

I will admit I'd like to have seen Cutler at least trying to motivate his teammates. Even Mark [expletive] Sanchez does that.

But every time I think or say something like that, I remember people like Moses Moreno and Shane Matthews and I feel stupid.

I've become so disillusioned with the Chicago media over the last few years, and this doesn't help anything. They're sensationalists and generally overly negative, biased, and far from objective. It's like they all have an ax to grind to make themselves stand out better. It's not just the media either, I've come to look at the average Chicago sports fan as a meatball. They're becoming aggressively opinionated just like their favorite talking heads on TV. Everyone has a [expletive] opinion. Why can't the media, and THIS CITY stop being such hacks? Why can't we [expletive] DEFEND our own?

We can go on and on about Cutler but someone needs to explain to me why if Cutler didn't quit after the Dallas game, and 20 other various times before the bye week, he'd quit in the [expletive] NFC Championship Game. DOES NOT COMPUTE.

STOP PICKING ON SNAYKE!!

One common theme in all of that: All the current players who said something played on [expletive] teams from [expletive] NFC West. Jealous ass bitches, all of them. Seriously who the [expletive] are those guys anyways?

Well to be fair, that was pasted from the NFC West blog. That's why some other comments MJD aren't on there.

If we compiled all of them, including MJD and Wilbon etc etc, it'd fill up the entire page.

Yea I know, but it definitely seems like the majority of players who said something all come from the NFC West. MJD, Morrison, and Samuel excluded.

It's because you are a bad person, Jay. You are evil. Not like us. And we don't like you.

Well there's a fair number of bitter Seahawks in there I suspect.

Has MJD responded to anyone who correctly brought up he missed the final 2 games of his season(when his team needed him the most) because of a knee injury?

Angelos comments about the idiots

Bears general manager Jerry Angelo ripped the players around the NFL who criticized Jay Cutler's toughness in Sunday's NFC Championship Game, calling it ''dirty pool'' to criticize Cutler, who left the game early in the third quarter with an MCL sprain.

''I was very surprised. I think it's crap,'' an agitated Angelo said. ''I thought they were a union. If that's the way they unionize, they've got bigger issues than the ones they have wit the owners. I'm very disappointed. That to me is dirty pool.

''It is what it is. Certainly people are allowed to say what they want to say. But that doesn't make it right. And it's certainly not grounded.

''I certainly didn't like what was said. And I take that personally, too. He's our quarterback. We wouldn't have been where we are without him. I want to make that clear. We stand by him. Nobody's perfect. His play isn't perfect. He's not perfect. There's not a person in this room or in this league that is, either. ''

Cutler was 6-of-14 for 80 yards and an interception before leaving the game after the first drive of the second half. He did not return.

''If you think Jay Cutler isn't tough, something's wrong with your vision of what toughness is,'' Angelo said. ''I can't even believe I'm sitting here talking about Cutler's toughness. If you asked me about Jay Cutler, I'll talk about his toughness first and then his arm strength.''

So on ESPN there's a vote for who is more unlikeable: Jay Cutler, Michael Vick, or Ben Roethlisberger. Take a wild guess at who's winning. If you guessed the rapist or the dog killer, you lose!

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/fp/flashPollResultsState?sportIndex=pollindex&pollId=105753

LOL please tell me there are only like 7 votes.

33,217 votes

And Cutler has 45% of the vote, 11% ahead of Vick.

more like 7000. whats interesting is as made as everyone supposedly should be, all the questions involving Cutler have favorable responses for him from Illinois.

so, most Bear fans seem to support him, its the non-bear fans that now dis-like him
