It strikes me that supposedly Urlacher and Cutler weren't going to get along when Cutler signed with us. Anyone else remember that?

Now look at Brian come to his defense.

All I've got to say is this:

=D> =D> =D>

Bravo, Brian.

Lance Briggs has withdrew from the Pro Bowl along with Urlacher. Also some reports that Forte may get an extension this offseason.

Forte deserves an extension. This has become a 2 back league, and at least one of those backs has to be very good in the passing game. Just make sure we have a guy who can be paired with him for short yardage situations and we are in good shape.

As an outside onlooker, it seems that he would have done himself a world of favors if he had at least pretended to hold a clipboard and wore a headset or something. It seems that alot of "rational" (i.e. not the "get yer ass out thur and play!1!" types) people had a problem with the way he kind of just sat there staring out into space the rest of the game. It may have helped his image some if he at the very least pretended to be involved in the game somehow.

* don't flame me, I'm not attacking Cutler (he's an SEC guy afterall and you know how we are about our own..)

As SpongeWorthy said, it's LDT all over again. Tomlinson also looked off into space with a blank look. You know, the look of shock that you can't play in the biggest game of his life. It's stupid.

And Cutler clearly was listening in on the plays through earbuds. He can't be too rah rah with a knee injury.

And depending on the severity of the injury (surgery, rehab, etc.), the Bears could be looking at no Cutler next season. Hopefully the Todd Collins Experience is over.

I don't give a [expletive] about rah rah. But it would have been nice to see him talking to Hanie on the sidelines like he was trying to help him out there. Maybe he was doing it and we just didn't see it. All I know is we better get a lot better on the OLine next season.

You know what gets me?? The majority of fans that rip Cutler for "never showing emotion", or "looks like he doesnt care", are the same [expletive] people who rip on Zambrano for his antics and showing too much emotion etc... You cant have it both [expletive] ways.

Then maybe he should have stayed in the clubhouse? Of course he'd have been attacked for that since you see players on the sidelines with crutches all the time after they are injured in a game.

Problem is a lot of people don't understand knee injuries and they see Cutler able to stand up and walk around and it makes them go "wth?"

Also, I've seen a lot of people (the dumb ones who think Cutler quit) ripping him for being on the sideline and not getting treatment to come back in. Why havent people realized that once Hanie came in, Cutler could not go back in? So whether he's getting treatment on his knee or running the 400m hurdles on the sidelines, he's not coming back in. Fixing his knee on the sideline won't allow him to come back in, and doesn't make him any more likely to be ready for a potential Super Bowl game. So if he wants to stand there on the sidelines doing wahtever, so be it

Raisin's nailed it on Maurice Jones-Drew. His hypocrisy on this is literally unbelievable. Your team was in a battle for a playoff spot and your ass is sitting on the sideline too.

I'm curious to see if any paints Cutler's reported torn MCL as still being something he should have tried to play on because it's not the most damaging of all the possible knee injuries. You know all the old thyme, "you would have had to drag me off the field for me not to play", "I had 20 surgeries when I was in the NFL" tough guy mentality that dominants the talking head media.

If people thought Cutler was a punkass to the media in the past, he's gonna take it to a whole other level next year.

Another thing that is stupid is people bitching about him standing up and walking around. When I tore my ACL playing baseball I was able to walk into the ER without too much difficulty.

If Im Jay Cutler, I dont speak to the media again. Thats just me, but I wouldnt blame him at all. And do the Bears play Jax next year? I hope so

Also I think another thing (after thinking about it awhile, I was one of those "stupid" people about Cutler... but I say like 95% of it was my emotion running at an all time cuz one of my Chicago teams was close to getting in the WS/SB/SC/NBA Finals and it just took over)... Maybe I was hearing things, but didn't the Bears listed him as questionable for the game after he was benched??? I could've swore I hear the sideline reporter saying that he was questionable. I think that screwed a lot of people up as far as he should've been playing if he's "only" questionable... Were they saying questionable til he was done working out for the Coaches/Trainers/etc...??? Or did they really thought that he might've be able to come back in? I'm just curious cuz when he was benched, I figured they would've told the sideline reporter or whoever that Cutler is OUT for the game due to his knee. That would've cleared it up a little bit better.

After been thinking about it all night and this morning, there were a lot of things that could've been done differently...

Like when Cutler was sitting next to him on the bench, playbook in hand pointing things out?

Too bad we don't play the Jags next season.

i'm not trying to stir the pot, but how is what MJD said worse than what was said by Asante Samuel, or Dockett, Curry?

i defiantly saw Cutler talking to Hanie on the sidelines.

How about definitely?

I saw this too. Hanie was looking at game film sitting next to Cutler. Cutler was talking to him

OMC's thought that he should be running around screaming at Hanie is stupid. When Bennett scored, Cutler was up smiling, high-fiving him and Hanie

people just dont like Cutlers demeanor period. [expletive] them.
