Hahaha Packers fans you supported a douchebag for 15 years! And Vikings fans support him now even though he's even a bigger douchebag now.

(PS I realize I support Jay Cutler)

Can someone please explain to me, again, how Jay Cutler is a douchebag? I'd also appreciate if the explanation wasn't from an irrational Bears hater.

If his deal in Denver is what made him a douchebag, please reconsider the situation. They threatened to replace him with an inferior QB in Matt Cassel right after he made the Pro-Bowl. He deserved to be pissed.

Facial expressions and tone of voice is all I've ever heard people justify that claim with.

The DeAngelo Hall comments come to mind. Other than that I can't really think of anything douchy except for dating Kristen Cavileri. That in and of itself is deserving of douchedom.

In a conference call with Chicago reporters and at his news conference later Wednesday leading up to Sunday's big game with the Bears, Ryan didn't deny a Deadspin.com report that shows a number of videos of a woman who looks very much like his wife showing off her feet while a cameraman -- who sounds like Ryan -- talks to the woman.

:-s

The sound clips from that Buffalo game where they mic'd up Cutler were hilarious, though.

Is that the one where he was joking around about how fast he was?

EDIT: Found the one you're talking about, which is good, but there was one that I think they played during the ESPN pregame on Monday night, and I can't find it anywhere online...talking about how he was hitting 3rd gear and stuff...maybe it was from the same game, not sure.

Win the next two and make the playoffs. With Rodgers healthy we'd definitely be a threat to make a run.

Don't win the next two and most likely miss the playoffs and hopefully we get rid of McCarthy. I could live with either scenario.

(Assuming a playoff miss means no more McCarthy).

This. But I'm sure we'll blow one of the final two games and McCarthy will stay.

It seems to me that McCarthy really has a built in excuse with all the injuries. I think I heard Hub Arkush say you guys had 6 starters on IR, and 3 of the backups that filled those spots are on IR? And that's not even including Aaron Rodgers missing the Pats game. Something like that....that's nuts.

Meanwhile the Bears starters have missed a total of 3 games due to injury. Tinoisamoa has missed 2, and Cutler missed 1.

Is that really true? Wow.

The Colts key contributors list goes like this:

Addai has missed 8 games

Gary Brackett missed 4

Donald Brown missed 3

Austin Collie has missed 5 (and got knocked out of 2-3 more early)

Kavell Connor has missed 4 (key backup and starting linebacker now)

Brody Eldridge missed 2 (starting tight end)

Pierre Garcon missed 2

Mike Hart missed 5 due to injury (runningback who would have started all those games)

Kelvin Hayden missed 2

Charlie Johnson missed 1

Antonio Johnson missed 2

Jacob Lacey missed 4

Jamey Richard missed 1

Clint Session has missed 9

Justin Tryon missed 4

And the IR players

Melvin Bullitt missed the entire season (starter last year)

Dallas Clark has missed 8 games

Cody Glenn has missed 3 (special teams starter)

Anthony Gonzalez has missed 12

Ramon Humber has missed 12 (special teams starter)

Devin Moore has missed 10 games (kickoff returner)

Jerraud Powers has missed 4 games

Bob Sanders has missed 13 games

Tom Santi missed the season (would have started a lot at TE this year)

Jamie Silva missed the season (special teams starter and would have been starter at safety this year after Sanders and Bullitt were lost by game 1)

Kevin Thomas missed the season (would have been 3rd corner)

I didn't try to go too deeply into the reserve DB's because it was too hard to figure out who was starting when. For example, the Colts have lost 8 safeties so far this year. Several people have blamed the cover 2 scheme on it because it's emphasis on small, fast players inevitably leads to more injuries. That might have some effect but I doubt it does to that degree. I wonder if Packer fans are trying to blame their injuries on anything in particular.

I'm a Colt fan and knew all that. However, it's still pretty stunning to see listed out. Not to be overly pedantic, but Melvin Bullitt did play four games this year before being placed on IR. Now, he played so poorly that he didn't necessarily help the team, but he didn't miss the entire season.

I still don't know what to think about KC. Excellent coordinators, but I still question just how good the actual talent is. I think the Weiss/Crennel duo are helping them play over their heads, perhaps by quite a bit.

Interestingly enough, even though Kansas City is 3 games better than us record-wise, they have a +41 point differential and we have a +40 point differential. We can win this game if we play like we did Sunday and the first 7 weeks of the year.

I have no confidence that either the Colts or Jags will lose, though. We need both to and I don't think either will.

I'm telling you, the Colts aren't winning in Oakland. It wouldn't stun me if they get dominated. Most likely, McFadden/Bush will run all over them, they'll fall behind pretty big, make a come back, but fall just short. I've seen this game before.

The Colts stink on the road. Their defense is especially bad on the road. With Collie now out, the offense is likely to struggle (hopefully there is no return of the interception-prone Manning, but that seems possible). Heck the Colts barely won the last time they were in Oakland, with a much better team and a much worse Raiders team.

The one player I didn't look up to be sure...thanks for the correction. I was already thinking of Silva when I typed that out for Bullitt.

I'm not as pessimistic about Oakland as you are though. The Colts have stunk badly on the road but they've still been very, very close to winning their road games (besides the Houston game). It will be a tough game that won't surprise me either way who wins.

No worries. That was quite the list; thanks for doing that. Sheesh, what a nightmare the injuries have been. I'd almost forgotten about Silva. Safety depth definitely needs to be addressed in the offseason.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Colts won -- I don't think the game is hopeless by any means. I think, in the end, it will likely be close. I didn't mean to imply that it's a foregone conclusion. I'm just not very optimistic. I think the Jags will lose again and the Colts will beat Tennessee though (thereby making the playoffs). Mainly because I think the Jags are terrible.

On one hand I hope you're right, but on the other I'd rather see the Colts in the playoffs than the Jags. I'm still holding out that tiny sliver of hope that everything falls right and the Titans make the playoffs, though.

Raiders are a really tough matchup for the Colts. Raiders can run, Colts can't stop the run. Colts like to throw, Raiders have one of the best pass defenses. Raiders can't stop the run, doesn't matter because the Colts can't run (though they did last week). Plus, the Raiders have an opportunity to put some points up in the return game, as the Colts have never been great at stopping returners.

I still think the Colts win, but it's going to be a close game either way.

Me too, obviously. Not only because I'm a Colt fan, but because I pretty much hate the Jags. If the Colts can't make it, I'm sure rooting for the Titans to do so (and would be rooting for the Texans too, if that was possible). Never liked the Jags.

Depending on the weather, I see it being a higher scoring game. It's probably going to be close regardless of the weather.

While the Raiders have a good pass defense, a lot of that is rushing a lot of guys to get pressure on the QB because outside of Asomugha, the secondary is fairly weak. I could see Manning throwing a lot of quick passes to prevent the blitz a chance to get to him and picking the Raiders apart.

I thought Branch was pretty good?

Do you guys think its fairly common knowledge among sports nut types to know what coach Weeb Ewbank coached to the Super Bowl? I missed that one at bar trivia last night.

among sports nuts? Probably. Among sports fans? Probably not.

I've spent most of the last hour and a half trying to figure out the Panthers' chances of getting the Thanksgiving game in Detroit next year because that will determine whether I see us get obliterated 2 or 3 times next season. (I assume I'll see the blowout losses to Chicago and Indianapolis.)

Jimmy Clausen isn't good, but he deserves a chance with a professional football team, not this bunch of pathetic lunkheads coached by a guy who's more concerned with updating his resume than making sure there are 11 [expletive] defenders on the field.

One other thing that should make Colts fans feel a bit more optimistic.

The Raiders are 5-0 against the AFC West this year, 2-2 against the NFC West and 0-5 against everybody else, which includes 0-3 to the South and losses to Pittsburgh and Miami.

I know it was the Steelers and all, but that was just brutal to watch. At this point, Clausen has to be considered a project, which means the Panthers have no use for him.
