Maybe you could stop spam trolling the thread and take your bitterness elsewhere.

Kind of what I was thinking as well. Why is this guy pooping all over our division clinching game thread?

It wasn't obvious that the Bears won that game without the benefit of looking back at the tape so you can't expect him to know the Vikings got pounded.

Peppers is definitely going to be in the running for defensive player of the year. Just a great, great night.

Who else is going to be in the running? While I think Peppers has played as well as anyone, I don't think 8 sacks is going to get him that many votes.

Or Peter King's latest column.

You lost the argument so now you are going to resort to making fun of jersey for reading or listening to NFL columns and discussing them on a message board thread discussing the NFL?

Absolutely hilarious that the Vikings punter was pooching twenty yard punts to avoid kicking to Hester, and then the first time he actually does kick one to him, he runs it in for a touchdown. That's just poetry in motion, right there.

Not only that, but he was pumping his fist when the ball would land out of bounds.

I forgot about that. When I first saw it, I couldn't help but laugh at him.

The refs were very laid back because of the pristine field conditions.

Fixed for minnesotacubsfan.

it was fantastic out there, ladys and gents.

and no, I don't have any relatives involved in the stadium design/construction (although a few classmates). I just thought the "OMG THE FIELD IS DEADLY" crap the past few days was completely overblown. it didnt seem to bother the Bears at all, they scored 40 friggen points on it.

That doesn't even make sense, poor attempt.

Wasn't trying to poop on your thread and definitely don't have any bitterness. Disagreed on one penalty, that's it. I'll leave now.

Yes, you can. Helmet to helmet is helmet to helmet... not helmet to helmet when players are of similar height and field conditions are good

I thought you can go helmet to helmet on running backs?

Except Jay Cutler isn't a running back

Then the helmet to helmet rule has exceptions which was my point.

Helmet to helmet on a passing QB is supposed to be called every time. There aren't exceptions for height and field conditions.

Running backs are a completely different situation. That is like saying there are exceptions to pass interference since you are allowed to tackle a player once he has the ball.

helmet to helmet should be called every time. it was a weak ass hit, and the guy help up, but it was obvious too.

You're ignoring that it was extremely difficult to tell that he even hit him up high in real time

I think it would have been a bad call.

You keep matching dumb statements with dumber statements. The 100% correct call would be bad because maybe you couldn't tell it happened if you ignored what happened? Please keep saying stupid crap, it makes me feel better about hating the Vikings.

Shouldn't you be listening to a Bill Simmons podcast with the sole purpose of complaining about it here? He put it up yesterday and we don't want you to fall behind.

this gave me a chuckle

I thought Major Wright was going to be seriously injured after he hit the camera tower. The field held up OK because it didn't snow for most of the game.

Yeah, I was sitting there wondering if the punter knew that he just kicked from the 50 yard line and punted it out of bounds at the 25 while he was fist pumping the air. I guess he showed the Bears on that kick. Haha.

That game was played at 3/4 speed as everybody was moving gingerly on the ice. The Bears scored a ton of points because their opponent sucked.

I'm gonna let bygones be bygones and just say that I thought it was a fantastic stadium. Michigan hasn't played there yet and Minnesota football has been to awful to have any reason to watch one of their games the last two years, so it was the first chance to see a game on tv in that stadium. They certanily did do a nice job preparing it on short notice for the game despite the obvious limitations they had that they never would have been able to fix. It wasn't safe imo but they did as good of a job as they could have.

I'd also like to at least comment on the offensive play of the year. 1st and 30 and Cutler throws a laser to Johnny Knox for a touchdown.

I was debating between running the ball for no gain three times or punting on first down. I like what Martz called WAY better.

I wouldn't call that a laser. It got the job done but the throw itself wasn't all that pretty.

lol, desean jackson is pretty good but the knob-slobbing on the booya network concerning him possibly breaking devin hester's record some day jumps the border on the disrespectful and improper. we realize nobody pays attention to football west of appalachia, but throw a bone to the few of us that do.

Alright, not a laser, but it was thrown directly into the wind and still reached its exact destination.

It was a Chip Caray kind of laser.

it wasn't a laser, it dropped nicely into knox's hands, but it hung up a bit and could have been trouble if the viking safety was paying attention at all.

the laser was the sideline pass he threw to aromashadu in the 4th, only a few qb's in the league could make that throw.
