Do you really need to ask that? The Packers are good. They've been good for a long time, they have an organizational philosophy based on winning, they have lots of talent, good people making the right calls, and they've won a championship in my lifetime, and there's a very realistic shot at more in the not too distant future.

 

You can say exactly none of those things about the Cubs

The Cubs have been just as close to a championship over the past 12 years as the Packers have. lol

 

That is assuming I'm remembering correctly that Favre threw that awful pick into triple coverage in the 07 NFC championship game.

 

 

So the Cubs' awful history mattered in 2008 when you were freaking out over every almost meaningless September loss? The Packers' "championship tradition" has something to do with how they're going to do in two weeks when they're decimated by injuries and have an awful coach?

Great win. I was a little nervous after that first Viking drive, but the defense played pretty good after that. They generated pretty consistent pressure which was key. The snow slowed down just in time for the Bears to get a decent lead. And only one sack allowed. If the defense can generate turnovers, Jay can make plays and keep from turning the ball over, and Devin can give the Bears TDs or great field position on punts, this team can get to the Super Bowl.

 

I was hoping Gruden would take the Miami job. He was pretty terrible. He said something about Webb "solidifying" RT. What? I think Jaworski ramps up his remarks just to keep up with Gruden which makes the commentary doubly bad.
