The minn guys here haven't answered my question on whether they still feel the field is safe.

yes. perfectly safe.

Yup only 2 concussions and several players sliding around the field like it was a slip an slide. And referees blowing plays dead as soon as anyone touched the QB for a sack. Im sure they just did that for fun.

again, when will the williams have to serve their suspensions? After retirement?

judge in Minnesota ruled the suspension violated workers rights laws in Minnesota. so, never.

that was about 2 years ago

Actually I think they could be enforced if the players signed with another team or if the Vikings move to Los Angeles. They'd no longer be under the protection of BS Minnesota law.

I don't get it. You guys won the division. So what's the point of belittling the Packers? Be happy that you crushed Favre and embarrassed the Vikings while clinching a playoff spot. Don't let erik get in your head.

Pretty White Sox'ish. Just sayin.

Yeah I'm refraining from saying anything negative about the Packers until I know for sure we won't be playing them in the playoffs. However I'm pretty sure most of the comments were in response to Erik's comments, as others have already said.

O COME ON

what the hell is with you people? we WON. we WON BIG.

there was nothing wrong with TCF

I'm not saying there was or wasn't anything wrong as I didn't watch any of the game, but if you guys had lost and/or a Bear got hurt because of the field conditions would you still feel that way?

I'm not in anyone's head, and if I am, that's pretty bad. All I said was that we'll win week 17, and if that gets anyone's panties in a wad, that's on them, not me.

Unless the Packers hand the Bears the game again, right?

Being a Packers fan is beyond White Sox-ish. Just sayin'.

no its not.

Oh, but it is. A Cubs/Packers fan is in danger of tearing the dimensional plane apart.

If you say so, chief.

I think it's a fair question. Answer it. Would you feel that there was nothing wrong with TCF if the Bears had lost or a player got hurt because of the field conditions? Yes or no. It isn't hard.

well now your just being silly.

Silly...or concerned for the fate of the universe?!?

Though really, it would be like someone rooting for the Eagles and the Mets. Madness.

You're being ridiculously biased right now. The field was crap. The circumstances sucked and they managed to do what they could with what they had, but that was not a good playing surface.

We were lucky to have escaped relatively unscathed.

You weirdo. You were the one that brought it up after the game.

I'm thrilled that we won and that takes precedence over any other concern of mine. But it doest change the fact that everyone was worries about concussions and two players left the game with head injuries/concussions. Ask the referees who blew plays dead in .2 seconds if the field was safe.

Go bears!

It's a nice field. It looked good. They shouldn't have played there, though, because it's not designed for these temperatures.

yea, I would feel there wasn't anything wrong with it.

people freaking out over the condition of a field that had to be prepared on short notice for a football game as if they have some major investment in player safety is insane

There. That wasn't so hard, was it? Thank you for answering.

Like it or not, player safety is going to be a big concern for a long time, especially head-related injuries.
