The Suns trade is a good move for the Magic. The Lewis/Arenas swap? I think I would have waited on that one.

Exactly. I'm nor sure why CubsBearsMagic likes that trade.

Would I have rather had Carmelo or Paul? Of course, no brainer. But this is a rather low-risk, high-reward type of move. All we had to give up was a declining Rashard Lewis, and in return we get a guy who, when healthy and at his best, was an elite player. He's still just 28, therefore I think it's worth gambling on him staying healthy.

I felt like in order to land Carmelo or Paul we would have had to give up more than I would have felt comfortable with, and we almost definitely would not have ended up with Richardson and Turkoglu in addition. So instead of adding 1 superstar, we added 3 good to great players while at the same time getting rid of our two oldest starters who have gone almost completely downhill the past couple seasons. I really think Turkoglu might still have something left in the tank.

Otis Smith could have done a lot worse.

As others have suggested, I think I would have at least waited to see if Lewis could recapture some of what he had with Turkeyglue back and Richardson instead of Carter. I think Gilbert carries a little more risk than you're saying.

Larry Brown fired by Jordan. Is there really a better coach out there than Brown for that job?

North Carolina should just give up on professional basketball.

i'm glad that guys like evan turner and marreese speights are getting DNP's for the sixers while guys like brand and iguodala are playing 40 minutes a night and nobodies such as tony battie and nocioni are logging significant minutes. lou williams is getting like 25 minutes a night and everyone knows he's not long for the team (with holliday the starter and future PG).

It would be nice to miss the Hawks and the Knicks in the first round. And then to send those pussys from Miami home in the 2nd round!

Too high, I'd say. I don't see a situation where Doc is running Pierce or Allen out there for 35 minutes a night after March 15.

True. I don't computer models project that kind of stuff though. I'm sure they take into account that almost all the key players are on the later half of their careers, but they are playing at such a high level that it's hard for a computer model to predict much regression.

Garnett's the one most likely to get his minutes reduced, unless you're already assuming he'll be injured by then.

I'm not sure which team I hate more here. Any chance the Staples roof will collapse like the Metrodome?
