Lee and the Rangers thru 7 up 3-1, go Rangers - for some irrational reason can't stand the Tampon Bay Rays.

1. they have the suckiest fans in baseball, they don't deserve a team

2. they are a new expansion team that won the WS before the Cubs did in their long history.

3. The owner is a D...Bag

4. Florida is a state designed for spring training only

No. The Rays did not win the World Series. They lost to the Phillies in '08.

Perhaps, a reference to that crap from 2003 or 1997? In any case, Kinsler with the final nail.

What do you mean a reference? Hardcorecubfan explicitly stated that the Rays have won the World Series, which is simply wrong.

I'm thinking he may have gotten the Rays mixed up with the Marlins. Good bye Rays!!!!!

Thank you, they got there. That is all that matters. I might have been in a methh induced coma that year.

All I know is that I am happy for the Rangers, and I do know they were 8-8 against the Yankees so this should be good.

Now that I think about it I might have been thinking about that other undeserving team the Marlins

[expletive], the yankees are going to stomp the rangers

Rangers just swept the Yankees a couple of weeks ago. Before the playoffs started I thought the Yankees were a better matchup for the Rangers than the Rays.

Congrats to Nolan Ryan.

Knowing he will need to lean on him for the rest of the playoffs was it necessary for Washington to let Lee go out for the ninth with a 4 run lead and wind up with 120 pitches?

The way Tampa put runs on the board late in games 3 & 4 I would have kept Lee in the way he was pitching. He was at his best the last couple of innings. I don't think you assume a win going into the 9th inning after blowing a 2 games to 0 lead and the lead in the 8th inning of game 3.

why do you say that? They split the season series

Cubs took the season series over the Dodgers 5-2 in 2008. Doesn't mean anything in the playoffs. I think the Yankees should win fairly easily.

Trying to decide who to root for...

Yankees

Pros: Kerry Wood

Cons: They are the Yankees dammit

Rangers

Pros: Enjoyed watching them all year, underdog team, never won anything before this year, Ian Kinsler

Cons: Another team making the World Series before the Cubs would slightly increase our futility. It would leave Seattle and Washington as the only 2 teams to never make a World Seires (meaning only 2 teams that have a worse "making world series track record" than us, even though neither has been around since 1945. Seattle 1977 and Washington 1969).

This is a tough call.

I still want to know why he was warming up in the bullpen in game 3.

Because Ron Washington graduated from the Dusty Baker School of Managing, dude.

And Ron paid his tuition with drugs instead of money. That explains some of Dusty's decision-making over the years.
