Sorry Braves fans, but if your anguish means Dick Stockton will not call another game in the 2010 playoffs, we must place the needs of the many over the needs of the few.

I thought this was the best of his four tours with TBS. Of course, he had nowhere to go but up.

Two Game 5s would have been sweet, but I'll settle for this NLCS matchup over what surely would have been a Philly cakewalk had Atlanta somehow advanced.

The NLCS is going to have some great pitching match ups.

agreed. problem for the giants is, the phillies can hit and they can't.

The Giants have two tough LHPs (Sanchez and Bumgarner) who'll cause issues for the Phillies. I think the Phillies will win the series (in 6), but it'll be closer and lower scoring than people expect.

it depends on whether or not sanchez throws the ball over the plate. the phillies are a patient team and won't help him out by swinging at a lot of bad balls.

by the way, the phillies hit better against LHP than against RHP this season. utley is just as good against LHP as RHP (and actually was much better against LHP this year), and the problems that howard (especially) and ibanez (to a lesser extent) suffer against them are offset by the fact that werth kills lefties, and victorino and ruiz are significantly better against them.

Hm, was focusing on their individual numbers instead of overall. Whoops.

I'm rooting for the Rangers tonight. Anyone else?

I'm rooting for the team most likely to beat the Yankees. Sorry, Rangers

Lee and the Rangers thru 7 up 3-1, go Rangers - for some irrational reason can't stand the Tampon Bay Rays.

1. they have the suckiest fans in baseball, they don't deserve a team

2. they are a new expansion team that won the WS before the Cubs did in their long history.

3. The owner is a D...Bag

4. Florida is a state designed for spring training only

Most definitely very good reasons to dislike the Rays how about - 5. Play in the same state as the Marlins

No. The Rays did not win the World Series. They lost to the Phillies in '08.

Perhaps, a reference to that crap from 2003 or 1997? In any case, Kinsler with the final nail.

What do you mean a reference? Hardcorecubfan explicitly stated that the Rays have won the World Series, which is simply wrong.
