Oh well.

We going to get an answer on your trivia question, Truffle?

it's either don larsen or roy halladay. you'll have to do the leg work from there.

Halladay had a 10.64 ERA (67.2 IP) in 2000. Larsen's perfect game was not his first post-season start (he had one the previous year).

We no longer have the longest active postseason losing streak as Minnesota just reached 10 games with theirs

At least there's someone who can out-Cub the Cubs.

You're kidding, right?

only the cubs. and now the twins.

This is certainly the year of the pitcher. A nice change of pace. Three perfect games this year (I'm counting Gallaraga's), like 4 no-hitters, a ton of low ERA's and high-K totals. It's nice to see the game even out again.

No, not really.

Not going to turn this into a big thing (as I'm sure a lot of others will. I'm hunkering down for a lot of flame and hate to be thrown my way), but you said that WE had the longest postseason losing streak. The Cubs did. And now it was passed. So at least there was someone who craps the bed worse than we do in the playoffs. That's quite a feat.

Not all of my "only the Cubs" statements have been warranted. Some were said merely out of frustration. But there's truth behind a lot of them. Like this one. And a lot of others. But, like I said, I've stated my case on this before, as has everyone else, so I'm not going to get into it.

i'll trade our playoff losing streak for their playoff losing streak + 1991 world championship

I can't believe Tampa's ownership is forcing the jewish pitcher out there in a must win game.

Wow the Rangers are looking dangerous now. Shields is really pissy in the dugout after not getting the checkswing appeal giving Young the 3 run hr after that.

Ha Maddon just got tossed too.

I just watched an ad for the playoffs all about the Reds concluding that "they show no signs of slowing down or letting up"

Now, I know they wrote and produced the ad before yesterday, but...
