They made a mistake then. Baseball doesn't care if it benefits who they want it to. They obviously don't care see who is calling balls and strikes tonight.

They claimed it wasn't reviewable because it was a judgment call, even though fan interference situations are reviewable according to the rules.

The proposal, approved by a 25-5 vote, was limited to boundary calls -- whether potential home runs are fair or foul, whether balls go over fences or hit the tops and bounce back, and whether fans interfere with possible homers.

The umpires screwed up, Washington gave up too easily and right now it's the difference in this game.
