A Rangers/Giants World Series would be bizarre though. That was easily the least likely matchup when the playoffs started.

I would love this just to hear FOX and MLB cry.

I'd have picked Twins/Reds as least likely, myself.

But yes, I want SF/Tex. Fun but useless fact: Texas vs. San Fran was the very first ever regular season interleague game back in 1997.

A rainy night in Texas. Interestingly, the national anthem was sung by B.J. Thomas, best known for the song "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head."

Rangers at the top of the list in MLB in number of productive outs this year. That isn't a coincidence that they've had such a good year. There is a little something to be said for moving the runner along and "playing the game the right way" so to speak.

Three more innings, Rangers. Get a few more runs and finish this thing off.

The ratings for the WS are going to be terrible.

It seems like that was going to be the case regardless based on what happened on Sunday and Monday when it was up against the NFL.

If there is a game 7 for the NLCS, will it be Sunday Night? Head to head with Minnesota vs. Green Bay? Because that will not be good for MLB.

Scheduled to start at 7:57 ET.

Also, tomorrow's game will be moved back to the same time as long as the Rangers don't choke away this game, which is great for me since I'll get to watch it after the UCD football game ends.

Living pretty close the Rangers stadium, I've been rooting for them pretty much all season. But as they now stand 3 outs away I can't help but feel sad that yet another team will make it to the World Series before the Cubs in my lifetime.

Cubs have a winning record against the AL champs this year. By default the Cubs are the AL champs (I'm assuming the Rangers hold on). I'll take it.

Yankees fans worldwide searching dictionaries for new epithets to hurl in the direction of Rangers, their fans, their ballpark, Nolan Ryan, the state of Texas and everything else they see.

Your boisterous tears are a river of smug satisfaction to the rest of the world, you loudmouth [expletive]s.

The only downside to that is now the Yankees will spend even more money than usual this offseason and sign everything in sight.
