"Just wait till tomorrow, Nolan Ryan, one way or another gonna wipe that Chester molester grin off your face."

"Joe Girardi makes me want to cut open my abdomen, wrap an end of my intestines around a spit and unravel my inards over an open fire.."

Yankee fans I know

I say let him do it. He's a Yankees fan and won't be missed.

Imagine the rating juggernaut of a Rangers-Giants World Series.

Well, the Monday night's match-up between the Cliff Lee led Rangers and the Yankees in New York was outdrawn by a terrible Monday Night Football game between Tennessee and Jacksonville. I can imagine MLB is dying for the Yankees to make the World Series.

Go Rangers.

There's no denying the change in mood in October when the Yankees are playing. People do get into it. But there's nothing quite as enjoyable as the depressing morning after a depressing Yankees loss.

Just to contrast with their own stupidity. MLB's handling of the scheduling of the postseason is just laughably bad.

That wasn't interference on the Yankee fan, the ump got the call right. If the fielder has to go reach out of the field of play for a ball, it's not interference.

But thanks to the freaking basketball announcer for letting us know Bartman's place in history will stand a couple innings later.

What do you think they are doing wrong? Given the 8 team layout they work with, I'm not sure they could do any better.

Seems to be the same as previous years too. I don't mind the schedule.

What's with the hate for Kerry Wood by Girardi, after taking Burnett out why put that lousy bullpen in. Keery is tough and would have loved to pitch four+ innings

I am happy he didn't though. I hope they finish them off in NY just to see the reaction of the fans. Knock on wood

The postseason as a whole stretches on too long, and the scheduling times are ridiculous. Many of the East Coast games (or at least ones that will draw mostly from an "eastern" audience) starting as late as they do is ridiculous. Games simply cannot be ending around or after midnight on weekdays.

You sound like an old man. So what if a game ends at midnight? If you really want to watch the game a person can stay up a little later if they normally go to bed earlier than that. Big deal.

Judging by the ratings, there's not enough people that want to watch the games that bad.

Teixeira is out for 6-8 weeks.

Darn if the MLB scheduled their playoff games like the NBA does, he could be back for the last half of the World Series. Too bad.

After Game 1 of the ALCS, every meatwhatever fan I know was going on about how clearly Texas was done because they were beat "mentally." You have to account for the human factor!

They are all eerily quiet now.
