Jon Rothstein received a text from a member of the Bulls' front office who believes that LeBron James will sign with the Knicks.

Chicago is turning its attention to Carlos Boozer.

It certainly doesn't look good now for the Bulls, but I don't think Greenwich means NY/NJ is a forgone conclusion.

If it is Greenwich, then I don't see why it would mean anything else. Unless it's a big mind game I guess.

The only thing I can think is the proximity to ESPN.

Madison Square Garden is 23 miles from Greenwich. Bristol, ESPN headquarters, is 53 miles from Greenwich.

Distance and time are two different things. The last mile into NYC will take you as long as the drive to Bristol. Of course, they could always head to the chopper.

Yes, distance and time are different (thanks for the newsflash). But you said, "proximity" which means distance and not time.

Yes, and I said the only other thing I could think of was that it was close to ESPN. I am assuming it means he's going to NY/NJ.

What confuses me is that all reports were that LeBron was completely underwhelmed by the presentation from the Knicks. Why would he still go there if those reports were accurate?

Wasn't there a 2nd meeting?

Maybe the Knicks intentionally made a horrible 1st impression, such that by comparison the 2nd meeting they'd look like geniuses. OMG Donnie Walsh can walk!!!

I guess because he really is all about building the empire of wealth. He must feel like wherever he goes he will find a way to win a championship, and what he really wants is to be in a place where he can become the biggest celebrity sports icon ever.

That was pre-Amare and the Parker/Melo talk.

It's probably the tax story. Lebron moved his company tax address from Cleveland to Chicago. At least that's what "they" say.

ESPN 1000 Just said that Boozer has comitted for 5/80 to the bulls. That is quite good news and if Lebron hasnt decided yet that should increase our chances.
