Bulls fans not taking this *that* hard. The lack of angst at RealGM is disappointing :(

Wait till Lebron stays in Cleveland or goes to Miami. And watch it freaking explode if he goes to NY.

And then Boozer signs with New Jersey and Lee with Minnesota or something. This could be disastrous.

Hey, what's Kevin Durant trying to do there? Be humble, understated and gracious? He even paying attention to his sport? Good for KD and OKC

It's almost as if Durant's number one priority is to play basketball.

Funny that LeBron, who is so caught up with managing his public image, just got a lesson on how to do it from Durant, who is not.

Or maybe Durant knows if he waits one more year, a max deal won't be nearly as much as 5/85

Free Agent shooting guards

I'd like to see Redick and/or Morrow, with possibly a 1-year deal for Ray Allen. Head might not be a bad backup.

Of non-3 point specialists, I like Brewer, Wright, and Tony Allen.

Me too. Brewer is pretty good defensively. And can play the 2 or 3, which is needed, IMO.

LeBronJames.com released the following statement on Wednesday.

"Maverick Carter, CEO of LRMR Marketing, said today that LeBron James will formally announce where he will play next season and beyond on "The Decision," which will air live on Thursday, July 8, at 9 pm ET on ESPN.

Due to the unprecedented attention and interest surrounding LeBron's decision, we have decided to make this announcement on national television. By doing so we have generated funds that will be given to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. LeBron has a longstanding commitment to giving back to the community, and has worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs in cities across the country."

It's already a significant failure even if Boozer does come here.

Actually I'm not sure it changes much whether or not Booz/Lee comes here. On one hand, you get better to the point where you can win a few more games and land a better seed. But certainly not enough to contend.

On the other hand, you keep your salary flexibility if they don't (presumably -- new CBA looming).

Once you lose out on the top tier guys, I can't say it's more of a disaster to then also miss out on the 2nd tier guys. Only the top cream really matters in this league.

I don't follow basketball all that much, but it seems like if he'd go to Miami, who I understand has the cap room for him, they wouldn't have any other players to put around Wade, Bosh, and LeBron. It would be a bunch of league-minimum guys. If you have those 3 guys, though, I don't think you really need much else, but I'd think it would factor in.

I'd say New York now has an edge as I'm sure he'd like to play alongside another superstar like Stoudemire. However, I'm a loyal sap so I'd be happy if he stayed in Cleveland and won multiple titles there. It seems like they'd have to put more around him, though, if he wanted to win.

We're not getting LeBron and we certainly wont be bad enough to be winning lotteries (yeah NBA hell). Hopefully Rose develops into a star player and the Bulls can be a high seed each year and hope to pull off an upset. Maybe being a potentially strong defensive team will help.

Personally I'd rather sign Lee because he's younger.

That's the same argument I heard with the Celtics though. Didn't really stop them from becoming a champion.

For what it's worth, I'm all but convinced he's leaving Cleveland now. This just seems like a "Yes, I'm leaving and breaking your hearts but I'm still totally committed to the community, SEE!?"

To me, I think it's down to NY, Miami, or Chicago. And out of those three, I still think Chicago is the most attractive place for LeBron. Or, at least, it should be. If he goes to Miami, sure, he'll have Wade and Bosh - but that's all he'll have. It will be Wade, Bosh, James, and a bunch of minimum salary nobodies. If he comes to Chicago on the other hand, he has Rose, Noah, and enough money left to still get another max guy.

That said, I still doubt he comes here. :x

It could really be NY. My goodness.

I just don't like to see NY win at much of anything :(

Life is a sunny day when NY fails, IMO.

Chalmers/Beasley are probably about where Rondo/Perkins were in '08, but my understanding is they'd be gone in that scenario. You can't really count on the Heat coming across a James Posey or Eddie House either.

Of course, Lebron/Wade/Bosh are far superior to KG/Pierce/Allen

I really think it's the Knicks. I don't think he'd win much there but everything he's done lately, including the press conference just has a I'm going to New York feel too it.

To be clearer, LeBron hasn't told teams his choice. But Bulls had better feeling about maybe Wade than James all along

The Knicks with Amare are still worse than Cleveland's supporting cast.

I'd also have a better feeling about a player who was really deciding between 2 teams as opposed to one that had at least 5 legitimate options.

But he'll be worth a billion dollars if he plays in NYC. Duh.
