  1. Without Rose we were still a top 2 team in the East. Without Deng and Rose you guys seriously think we won't make the playoffs? That is still a pretty solid team without Rose or Deng. Solid enough to make the playoffs but Rose won't miss all season and Deng will play from the beginning if he doesn't get surgery, which I hope he does end up getting. It isn't a title contender but if Rose comes back healthy he will be there for the second half and playoffs and we can hopefully be a contender at that point. We just have to limp through the first half at above .500.
  2. And Noah, to free up room for Asik. and Mirotic! Consider it a done deal!
  3. Yes they have bad contracts. And I was on a mobile device Banedon, so 'MVP of the trade targets' translates to "our most valuable trade asset." Oh and if the Bulls match Asik's offer, I will officially blow a gasket. Noah signed a 5 year 60 million dollar contract. He is one of the better Centers in the league and making an affordable 12 million dollars a year. He is absolutely not overpaid and would be a valuable trade asset.
  4. Fire him. Rizzo hit a home run last year. This home run shouldn't have much significance.
  5. I just got my season ticket renewal form this week. If they didn't already have 900 dollars of my money I would have probably cancelled them. Next year is just going to be a bummer I think. The playoffs should be fun though with D-Rose hopefully somewhat himself by then. Just sign kirk hinrich to be the point for more than half the season and play with the team as is. The year after drop Boozer and bring over Mirotic. What sucks the most is that a majority of our bench players that make us great will be out of contract after next season. We may have a better starting 5 but our bench could be a weakness in a few years.
  6. My friend bet me that Tiger was going to win and I gave him 2/1 odds which he ridiculously accepted. I need to see him put it together more than a week before I think hes back to his full potential.
  7. Does anyone know if Rip is playing?
  8. wow and williams is suspended indefinitely
  9. Did no one get tickets on Wednesday for the Mastercard pre-sale? I was able to get 6 and 4 for the boston series on Sat and Sun respectively, then 6 more for the White Sox game on Saturday. The extra charges is what was so expensive. Seemed to be about 12 dollars per ticket you buy.
  10. I don't have the exact number, but I'm pretty sure he isn't 50+ games over 500 as bears GM The wins look right, but the losses are way off. I've counted 95-73. It's 95-81 if I added up the records correctly. Hes only off by 40 losses. No big deal
  11. I'm guessing that 10/275 didn't include a NTC, and they won't do it for Fielder either. Miami also doesn't want Fielder. They wanted a latin player due to their fan base. They can't sell Fielder to their fans like they could have with Pujols. I doubt the Rangers will sign him but I also don't think we have the best shot. However, if he wants to win (or at least get to the playoffs) and become a bigger name he will play in Chicago.
  12. He's 26 and spent his entire career in a league that comps to A ball. Yeah, the bust potential is huge. What would playing in Japan comp to? I'd assume the competition there is a level above a Cuban league. If we are gonna spend big money then I'd rather have Darvish than Cespedes.
  13. I heard someone say trade Briggs for Asante Samuel. Our Backup Lb's seem to suck but this trade might make sense for both teams.
  14. I'd be interested in joining!
  15. How does Cookies and Carimi sound? I was going to go with TD's and Beer but I didn't think of it myself and would prefer to be somewhat original. I may have heard Cookies and Carimi somewhere but Im not sure.
  16. I'd have to imagine he will go to the Titans most likely. I couldn't imagine us telling Hester we weren't signing a big name receiver and then signing both Roy Williams and Edwards. Not that I think they are outstanding receivers but I would put them as our top 2 receivers pushing Hester to the bench.
  17. Anyone know much about him? I know OT is a bigger concern, but really any solid veteran sounds like a good idea to me.
  18. Yea they just have to buy him out at some point. I hope the buyout reduces each year but either way he looks like a very good player. I heard a lot of comparisons to Pau Gasol but just judging by his numbers and the scouting reports he seems to be a lot more Dirk-esque. He hits the outside shot and nails his free throws. I'd be happy with either player and he would be a great replacement for Boozer when the time comes. In other News Battier would be a perfect player for the bulls and a very capable SF to give Deng some rest. He would also be a good fit at the SG spot and probably would be well without our price range.
  19. I knew what a red card was I've just never played in a game or league where you play a man down. This is actually the first time I've ever poked my head in here, so you have that up on me, and boy do I regret doing it.
  20. Why are you being a dick I wasn't bashing you for anything. I clearly dont have the soccer experience or knowledge that you have. Do you make fun of a toddler for not knowing how to speak? It's not like I came in here saying I was all knowing and watched FIFA all the time, I don't, which is quite obvious.
  21. well then no offense, but perhaps you can understand why everyone is so incredulous. i didn't play soccer through high school, but i went to some games. it's almost inconceivable to me that someone could play soccer for 12 years, including at the high school level, and have no idea that a red card means you play shorthanded. nor have i ever heard of a level as advanced as high school where a red card just you have to be subbed out. I completely understand everyone thinking I'm dumb, I would probably think the same thing. Just try and look at it from my side and I don't think it's that hard to see why I didn't know about it. I mainly played recreation and yes in recreation you simply sub the person out with a replacement, I played competitive for 3-4 years and honestly I can't remember a red card being given out and I just simply do not remember coaches ever going into it in detail because no one ever got one. I'm sorry I offended people with my idiocy but I was simply a FIFA newb coming in to discuss the Women's game and got hammered for it.
  22. My god yes, I didn't come into this thread to share my wealth of soccer knowledge, which I apparently have none. Maybe I had shitty coaches, maybe I was sick the day they talked about red cards, or maybe I just didn't give a crap and was off in my own world not listening.
  23. MFer Windermere Nice, I was always a midfielder since I was also a runner and played Leftoutside MF in high school. I always made the joke that I was playing Left-out and had to explain that it was an actual position. wait so you played for your high school against other high schools? Yes, it was the actual team not a soccer club or anything.
  24. What makes you think I knew you were a cardinals fan though? I never post in the baseball forums and I have lost all hope in this franchise, I just mainly come to talk basketball.
