Probably. The stock for the parent company of the Knicks, MSG, was up 6% today.

I'm not buying LeBron to the Heat. He wants to be the man, and he won't be in Miami. He'll be the best player, but it won't be his team. It's Cleveland, Chicago or NJ/NY. I think Wade and Bosh to Miami and Boozer to Chicago helped the Bulls' odds. I also thought the Cavs might still have nabbed Bosh in a s&t and sealed LeBron, but now I think things are wide open.

If the Bulls don't get LeBron and wind up with a slightly above average 2 guard, where does that put them in the east? Even if LeBron goes to Cleveland, the Bulls are better. Miami, Boston, Orlando, and Chicago could all take the east.

What?

You're aware that Cleveland was 20 games better than the Bulls last year, right?

Rose and Noah are getting better. They will have a low post presence now and most likely a solid 2. Cleveland was built to win in the regular season. I think the Bulls now can beat them in the playoffs. At the very least it is a close series.

The Bulls are no better than a 5 seed if Lebron returns to Cleveland unless there's some serious injury attrition to the top teams.

What kind of contract could the Bulls sign Ray Allen to and still be able to get Lebron at the max?

Not enough. Allen's not gonna leave the Celtics unless he's getting big money.

Ok, let's bet on the Bulls winning 60 games next year.

Who said anything about 60 wins? I see no reason to think they can't win 50 to 55. They should be in the hunt for a top 4 seed in the playoffs. Right now Boston and Orlando r prob better but other than those 2 I don't see a team clearly better than the Bulls especially if theu get a shooter.

You said you'd put them against any other team in the east. That sounds like a 60 win team to me.

I'd put the Heat, Celtics, and Magic as better, and the Bulls probably on the same level as the Hawks and Bucks.

I would put the Bucks ahead of them as well.

They would have to get rid of Deng first to free up some cash. If Boozer is getting 15 million, there is just enough for LeBron to get the max (I think). Granted Allen was at the end of a huge contract last year, but he got $18 million in 2010. I think two years, 20 million would get it done. But Deng would have to be traded and very very little in the form of a player contract would have to come back. The Bulls would have to eat a good portion of Deng's salary. But if the Bulls are all in this offseason, why not?

A 50-win team in the Celtics dismantled Cleveland this year. Regular season wins don't matter.

A buddy just told me he saw that LeBron James was apparently at Sparks in NYC with Amare Stoudamire and Allan Houston this evening. Hmmm...

There is so much false information being leaked right now that it is impossible to tell which info is legit and which info is bad. ATP any information regarding James should be taken with a grain of salt, cause nobody can prove it's real.

The Celtics were not a 50 win talent team.

I know Boston was one win afrom a title this season, but I don't think you can just assume that team will be top 4 in the East next year. Another year on KG's legs, Thibodeau gone, Allen maybe gone.

Wasn't a big part of their playoff success the resurgence of KG? Before the playoffs started, everyone thought the Celtcis were done. Do you count on KG being good next year?

Oh, so for the Bulls it's okay to just use their record even though they had mad injuries and a joke coach, but for the Celtics it's "they were not a 50 win talent team"

I guess I could be wrong on that. The Celtics could go with their same coast through the regular season plan next year and wind up below the Bulls, but I certainly wouldn't expect the Bulls to hang with them in a playoff series

Yeah, I'm really not buying the overflow of Knicks related tweets. You want ratings, so what's the biggest market you want to attract? New York.

Regular season wins don't always matter when it comes to the playoffs. Two times in a row Cleveland had a great record and did squat in the playoffs. In the playoffs, Cleveland's lack of secondary options means that a good team will beat them 4/7. This is much harder to do in the regular season. The playoffs are about matchups. Cleveland doesn't match up very well against playoff teams.

The 2010-11 NBA salary cap is 58 million. That's 2 million higher than anticipated. The Bulls had enough for two max free agents as it turns out. This leaves the Bulls a little more money to go after Ray Allen with. They wouldn't have to eat as much of Deng's contract if the wanted to trade him. Edited by Wilson A2000

How? How many games do you think each team wins? If the Bulls add a SG (and they will, considering they'll have a [expletive] of capspace still avilable for this season if LBJ doesn't come) they should be good for 50 wins.

He's signing with the Celtics for $1M, right?

The Bucks aren't bad. Is Redd going to bet he 2 and Salmons the 3?

For all the injury concerns people keep talking about regarding Boozer, hes only played 12 less games than Bosh in the last 4 years. The injury crap is being overblown.
