Charge that run to Lou.

would you have rather had Samardzija vs. Braun?

I think he's saying Dempster was left in a little too long.

I'd have rather had Russell out to start the 7th.

Here's something that's been bugging me for quite some time re: 7th inning stretch. Everyone obviously remembers Harry yelling "Let's get some runs!" when the Cubs were losing, but what did he say when they were winning? I seem to remember him having a usual catch phrase for those times, but it's been so long that I can't remember. Anyone?

"We got enough runs, let's hold 'em."

I've never noticed Tracy before this year. After seeing two at bats I swear he looks like a combo of a relief pitcher getting his first at bat and a all glove no stick backup catcher. Completely uncomfortable up there.

CHICAGO -- Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee had to leave Monday's game because of inflammation in his right thumb.

Lee grimaced after he singled in the third inning, and again after he singled in the fourth and was replaced at first by Xavier Nady.

Lee has been bothered by the thumb since he jammed it sliding into second base. His status was day-to-day.

I would hope this jamming did not happen on his ill-fated steal attempt.

Anyways this is good news. He may miss a game or two.

I don't know why in holy hell Theriot was running there, but he should've been out.

I don't know why in holy hell Theriot took off for 3rd, but he's a [expletive] idiot.
