Another thing, I think the committee seriously screwed up in putting Syracuse and Marquette and Connecticut/Cincinnati in the same pod. I thought they were supposed to at least attempt to prevent conference foes from meeting until the sweet 16.

BCS conference nothing. Saint Mary's got absolutely boned. Virginia Tech had an argument, but it was borderline. Colorado had a terrible RPI profile.

All that talk about Michigan possibly not beating any tourney teams earlier in the week is bunk now. I believe they have 7 wins over tourney teams now (MSUx2, PSUx2, Illinois, Clemson, Oakland) and that's with Harvard not getting in. Of course the highest seeded team they've beaten is 9 seeded Illinois but whatever, we should have a win over Wisconsin too.

You can't think of a selection worse than UAB Bilas? How about Air Force or Utah State in '06?

Or Utah State in 2010 *bitter*.

The Big East had the following seeds: 1, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 9, 11. I mean, it's pretty much a nightmare keeping them out of the same pods, even if you fudge their seeds to try to prevent it.

There was plenty of room in the 2-7-10-15 pods for teams. Easy enough to bump, say, UConn to a 2 and Cincy to a 7, swap Marquette back to the other pod, and boom, no conflicts.

UConn would have certainly been a much more deserving #2 seed than Florida anyway.

Heh, Self going back to Tulsa as well. Talk about coaching storylines, yea Im sure the committee really doesn't look at possible matchups. My ass

PSU in has to be a make up bid for 2009

What are you talking about? They deserved inclusion this year, they did not in 09.

Yeah, I was starting to worry when they hadn't called UCLA's name for a while. Hope the good Bruins team shows up against Sparty. Don't have much confidence they can win more than 1, even if Florida is incredibly overrated.

Santa Barbara's pulling the upset.

Well, not really, but it would be awesome if they did.

A battle of the UCs would be fun.
