well, the starters are back, which could be either good or bad news.

the starting 5 should look like this:

g- mccamey

g- richardson

g- paul

f- richmond

c- tisdale

davis

bertrand

head

leonard

griffey

simpson

that's pretty strong, isn't it?

it'll more probably look like this:

dmac

drich

richmond

davis

tisdale

with the kids buried on the bench, again. but he can't bury richmond.

i'd start dmac and two freshmen and two sophomores.

should we start a new thread for the tournament?

Yeah, there will be.

On topic, Mizzou loses 3 starters again but gets its best incoming class in years. Hopefully they'll improve some and set up for a big run the following year(Safford is the only Senior next year).

Predicted Big Ten Finish:

1. Michigan State

2. Ohio State

3. Illinois

4. Purdue

5. Minnesota

6. Wisconsin

7. Northwestern

8. Indiana

9. Michigan

10. Iowa

11. Penn State

that seems about right, but i think that any one of the top 4 could take the b10 crown.

Eff that our new coach is the man. He'll hang on to all the key players, recruits and add a couple studs of his own. I think he can get us on the bubble if you look at what he's done elsewhere.

*I have no idea who our coach will be.

Could be wrong by OSU won't be nearly as good without Turner.

Also has DMac said he coming back? If he hasn't I think there is a decent chance he goes into the draft.

They return their other four starters, plus they add the number one recruit and recruiting class in the country. Something tells me OSU will still ball pretty hard. D Mac will be back.

Oh I have no doubt OSu will be good but I don't think they will be top 5-10. My guess is top 20 and are somewhat inconsistent with streaks of greatness.

It was expected this year but I will say the Big Ten should be really good next year. A lot of the teams return almost everyone.

No matter what it will be an upgrade.

I think Evan Turner comes back.

I think Illinois is improved again through talent injection. I still think that we struggle to close in close games and lose games we should have won. I also predict we go into year 8 of not having a single, effective out of bounds play. Oh and Jereme Richmond makes sulley look bad bad coming out and being a lot better than either Meyers or Crandall. Sorry Sulley, I'll gladly be proven wrong on that last one.

Purdue is losing Kramer and Grant, and adding two four star guards (that can score) to replace them. They're getting Hummel and (6' 10") Sandi Marcius back from injury. They're also adding a three star C (6' 9") and PF (6' 8"). They'll have six guys at 6' 8" or bigger on the roster, and size was their weakness this year. Why does everyone think they're going to drop back to the 4/5 range? Not arguing it won't happen, I'm just curious.

I think there is a good chance that at least one of Johnson or Moore go pro. I also think that Hummel won't be as good after his second major injury in as many years. I still think you will be a really good team though.

Obviously, they could change their minds, but Johnson and Moore both recently stated (within the last two weeks) that they are returning for next season.

I think Evan Turner comes back.

It'd be hilarious if OSU lost Koufos and Mullens early, and Turner winds up staying all 4 years. But I can't imagine a scenario where that happens.

He says he loves school. Although the injury this year might make him love the millions more.

Should also have a full year of Lewis Jackson. Even if he's simply coming off the bench, it will be nice to have him healthy for a full season.

Provided that Johnson and Moore don't change their minds about coming back, Purdue has to be one of the favorites to win the conference.

I don't see what Johnson and Moore have to lose by declaring. They should go and see where they stand, especially with college basketball as bad as it has been this year. I think D Mac will be back, but I could see him testing the waters for this reason.

Johnson would be crippling, I would much rather loose Moore. If we lost both of those guys I could see us in the bottom half, next year.
