JaMarcus Russell watch, Week 3.

12-21, 61 yards, 2 INT for a 22.6 QB rating in the game.

31-75 (41.3%), 378 yards, 1 TD, 4 INT for a 39.8 QB rating on the year.

39.6=passer rating if no one catches any of your passes

That's awesome.

I went to the Rams vs. Packers game today. I'm a little worried about the Packers offense still. But had a blast.

I watched the Packers in STL on December 16, 2007. The next week the Lions won a game, their last win since today. I have seen the Packers win as many times in that period of time as the Lions have won, period. Pretty crazy considering I rarely see the Packers play.

"Stop looking at the floor! We didn't steal anything, we didn't do anything wrong, OK? We're going to get better. We are going to get there."

"We will see them again -- in the playoffs!" Singletary continued. "All right?"

"You hold your head up!" he screamed. "You do not need to put your head down for nobody! You hold your head up! You understand? You hold your head up, your shoulders back and let's rock! OK? Let's go!"

That's Singletary after the 49ers game. He is a damn good motivator. As a fan I felt better and had a mini adrenaline rush from reading it I can only imagine what it would have done if I heard it.

Manning is ridiculous. He makes it look soooooo easy

To be fair it is easy for good QB's when they get 5-7 seconds to throw every play.

In contrast, Arizona's O-line is completely terrible.

Manning is shredding them apart

his pass protection is unreal

I pray to the Football Gods almost every week that I will ever root for a team with a line as good as the Colts' has been for about the last decade straight and especially the last 6 years.

The Colts have not had a stellar offensive line for the last 2+ years. It's turned into an above average pass blocking line and a pretty bad run blocking line. They're bad at left tackle, decent with both guards and right tackle, and very good at center (except for last year when they were simply bad everywhere but right tackle).

Now the Colts have always had RB's that are excellent at blitz pickup and that has helped the pass blocking quite a bit.

Manning typically also makes up for it because he gets the ball out quicker from his hand than the average QB. It also helps that he reads blitzes so well and calls quick passes that doesn't allow the rush to get to him.

At times, the line does block excellently. But I am confused at all the how unbelievable is the Colts line comments. The offensive line has been a major concern for Colts fans for a couple years now.

Yeah, it's not Manning, it's the offensive line that consists of a second round pick, a fourth round pick, a sixth round pick, and two undrafted free agents.

For one it does not matter where players are taken. Saturday was undrafted yet is one of the best centers in the league.

For two I said good QB's. I wasn't putting down Manning. I was merely pointing out that good QB's will dominate any game that they get 5-7 seconds to throw every pass. It's why you can't sit back and try to drop into coverage. A good QB will find the holes. You have to get pressure.

Mike Singletary is going to be a really good coach. I really wanted him in Atlanta (twice). I was really sold on him when I saw that he made Vernon Davis a captain a few weeks ago.

This is the first time all 4 NFC North teams won in the same week since 2005, week 10.

Having the Lions in your division will create stats like this.

Brett Favre

Yeah, I don't hear anyone now...

"Favre is washed up"

"Favre isnt even a upgrade over Jackson or Sage"

"Favre will hurt the Vikings more then help"

"Favre is coming off a injury"

God I hate Favre. but I hate him for different reasons, the guy can still play. Im glad we have Rodgers and im glad we moved on but other fans saying "well he is not even that good" just got a big serving of crow.

What a man. Even with that throw he had a QB rating of 75.

I'm really shaking in my boots there! The Vikes are a good team but Favre still isn't a difference maker for them.

Well if you're such a big fan of QB rating you should know that he ranks 8th in the NFL in QB rating this year. His QB ratings in the first two games were 95 and 115.

Yesterday was the first day they needed him to throw a lot and get the ball downfield. Mixed results. He could have easily had 3 INT but the Vikings had about 4 really bad drops. Worst of the year. Berrian had two big plays he dropped and Harvin dropped a ball between the numbers that would have been a first down.

The real problem right now is the o-line. The 3-4 yesterday is good prep for the Packers though.

Obviously draft position isn't dispositive of the quality of player. In fact, the two undrafted lineman are actually the two best (and the second-rounder perhaps the worst at this time).

However, the consensus in this thread seemed to be the Colts line was full of blue-chippers. It's not. The Colts don't have an offensive line stocked with studs, of which draft position is often indicative (what they do have is one of the best line coaches in the NFL in Howard Mudd). Manning makes the line look much better than it actually is by (i) generally checking out of plays that aren't conducive to success, and (ii) getting rid of the ball quickly.

Favre made a lucky late pass. The media may be wetting their collective panties, but I'm not.

Much as I would love to agree, he's done that too many times for me to believe it was luck.

That catch on the other end was also incredible.

I'll give the Vikes credit for their incredible win. I would hope Viking fans give us credit for a couple of scratch-n-claw tough wins as well.

Im not sure what the hard part is about figuring out how we feel about Singletary.

An ex-Bears LB is turning a garbage team into a division-title favorite. This is at least as difficult as a Sherlock Holmes novel to comprehend.

That Packers-Falcons game was better known as the Samkon Gado game. What a horrible year.
