Sure, either good or bad.

San Fran played good considering they lost Gore on like the first play of the game, and should/could have won the game.

Yeah we'll see. I don't see how we can consistently play well without Gore. He is our offense. We can move the ball by using VD more but it won't be consistent and will be a lot like last year. Defense does look to be fulfilling its potential.

How long is Gore out? I thought the 9ers did well without him.

They did but the run game was complete crap without him and while Hill doesn't make many mistakes he's also not the type of QB who can carry a team. The offense isn't likely to move the ball consistently which makes us a lot like last years team.

Luckily one of our next two games is against the Rams. We then play Atlanta which means we will likely be 3-2 going into our bye which then Gore would probably return.

Both the QBs in this game are starting on my fantasy team, so I'd really appreciate this 3-0 BS stopping right now.

I laugh at anyone who uses QB rating to judge a good QB.

and i laugh at anyone who thinks a quarterback with a 22:22 TD:INT ratio and no running ability is good. what suggests that he is a good player? leadership? intangibles?

The legend that is John Madden.

sure Favre's old, but can't he have a down year with a new team? Is Chad Ochocinco a scrub because of his lousy 08?

he played really well in both games i've seen this season

I just question whether he's a significant upgrade over Jackson.

JaMarcus Russell watch, Week 3.

12-21, 61 yards, 2 INT for a 22.6 QB rating in the game.

31-75 (41.3%), 378 yards, 1 TD, 4 INT for a 39.8 QB rating on the year.

39.6=passer rating if no one catches any of your passes

The 2007 version of Favre is definitely an upgrade over T-Jax or Sage. The 2008, 2006, and 2005 versions are probably equal at best. So far he looks pretty good, but he started out playing well last year and had a big drop. Let's wait and see if he wears down like most 40-year-olds or tries to play through an injury before he's proclaimed the Vikings savior.

Manning is shredding them apart

his pass protection is unreal

I pray to the Football Gods almost every week that I will ever root for a team with a line as good as the Colts' has been for about the last decade straight and especially the last 6 years.

In a game or two, probably. Over the course of 16 games plus potential playoffs? Maybe.

Favre is 40 years old and has had injury issues recently. His performance has also taken a dive (for whatever reason) over the course of a 16-game season. Assuming no improvement whatsoever from Jackson (which he did improved from one year to the next) and no injury/fatigue from Favre, yes he is significantly better. But Jackson is 25 and likely to improve, Favre is 40 and likely to regress.
