guys, stop feeding the troll. i'm pretty sure that nothing we post can change his mind about anything or make him any less insane.

His idiocy is so pervasive on the boards right now that I can barely bring myself to visit. I can't believe the mods have allowed him to troll for so long.

I'm a troll because I 100% disagree with you? Interesting logic.

You're continually asserting incorrect things after being corrected multiple times. That's an obvious failure to engage in a rational debate, and shows that you have no interest in listening to opinions other than your own. That's pretty much the definition of trolling.

No, I have no interest in the three or four Bradley defenders telling me how unfair we all have been to him. That's a joke.

I am not a Bradley defender, but it does seem interesting that every season that the Cubs dont play up to expectations there seems to be a player who gets scapegoated by management.

Do you think if the Cubs were in first place right now they would be suspending Bradley for his behavior?

The fact that the other side is asserting that, for some amazing reason, players are "afraid" to speak their true minds because of some great fear of Attila the Hendry coming down on them is just as irrational, if not more, than the "incorrect" things being asserted on his side. Nobody's trolling. Its just a bad argument on both sides.

Both sides of this debate are using incredibly stupid points. Get over your ridiculous message board pride and see the rational side of this, people. The truth of this is somewhere in the middle between "this is the greatest injustice ever done to a player and I hope it gets overturned" and "Bradley is the single biggest cancer since...cancer."

Why does everyone who's disagreeing with the worst poster on this site since Mizzou getting awful straw men attributed to them?

Putting "incorrect" in quotation marks? Really? His production is a matter of public record and is fact. It's not open to interpretation. Again, from Joe Sheehan:

"Bradley is fifth on the Cubs in Runs Above Replacement Player, and tied for third among their regulars with a .271 EqA."

If you want the Cubs to win, the best thing you can root for is Bradley being our RF next year. There's really no way around it. On the other hand, if Bradley being on this team really makes it impossible for you to enjoy watching them, you're entitled to that opinion. But that's rooting against the Cubs for your own selfish reasons... and I can't stand people trying to point at his production as an excuse so they can feel okay about it. Why can't they just admit they'd rather this team lose a couple more games if they'd better enjoy the players on the field? It's a legitimate opinion that isn't extremely intellectually dishonest... provided they don't bitch about the Cubs front office screwing things up when we miss the playoffs by a game or two.

OAKLAND -- There may be only one manager whose time with Milton Bradley started and ended on a happy note, and he'd take him back.

Rangers manager Ron Washington endorsed Bradley, even in the wake of his latest problems.

"I wouldn't hesitate to get him," Washington said.

Bradley's tenure with the Cubs is likely over after the team suspended him for the final two weeks of the season because of a pattern of problems with the fans and the media.

He has passed through Cleveland, Los Angeles (Dodgers), Oakland, San Diego, Texas and now Chicago, and the only place where he apparently didn't burn any bridges was with the Rangers.

Before Texas played the A's on Monday, Washington said he thought having Bradley was "awesome."

"He did a great job for me," Washington said. "It wasn't my first rodeo with Milton. I knew Milton."

Washington was the A's third base coach in 2006, when Bradley played in Oakland.

"I aint never had a problem with Milton because I was always honest with him," Washington said. "If I didn't like what he was doing, I let him know. I didn't let anything fester with Milton. All Milton wants is people to tell him the truth, to be honest with him. He's no dummy. He knows when he's [screwing] up."

Horsehowry.

Honest? As if the booing wasn't "honest"... Milton dropped the ball this year and won't take responsibility.

I agree with what you are saying, and thats part of my point. Z's past behavior is pretty damn checkered, and the Cubs have overlooked it for years. Like you said the Cubs overlooked it because of how he performed. So in essence, as long as you perform, the Cubs will overlook your actions.

Are you Michael Barrett's cousin or something? What did Zambrano do to you to hate him so much? Sure, he's immature, does stupid things, and overall seems pretty self-centered. But Piniella has aired him out in public too, and his actions have all come during the game, which isn't surprising since he's so competitive. There's clearly more behind the scenes than we all know about regarding Bradley. The fact that no teammate even attempted to defend him speaks volumes, and it has nothing to do with them being "afraid" of Hendry.

Ha I dont hate Z at all. Im trying to be realistic in this and pointing out how Bradley is being made a scapegoat. Big deal Lou aired him out in public, he didnt suspend him did he? And thanks for making my point, Z gets overlooked for being "competitve" while Bradley gets called a dick. Z punched a damn teammate on the bench and didnt get a suspension, if you dont think thats worse than Bradley saying something, than your hatred for Bradley has completely clouded your judgement.

Are you really that naive to think that if the players wanted to defend him they would? Bradley just got suspended for making comments, and everybody knows he wont be with the team next year, why in the hell would a guy risk his job by speaking out against Hendrys decision? Come on

I don't hate Bradley, and I've defended him up until his antics over the past few weeks. And I'd hardly say Z gets a free pass for the things he's done. He's constantly questioned about his anger issues and what he "could" be instead of what he is. Regardless, the two cases are entirely different.

And, yes, if players wanted to defend Bradley I don't think they would hesitate to do so. You act as if baseball players are regular workers like the rest of us, where they are afraid of speaking out against their boss. They all have guaranteed contracts, and a few of them have no trade clauses. If Soriano or Aramis was suspended, I'm sure someone would stand up to defend them. Instead you have someone like Derrek Lee going out of his way to say that Bradley never attempted to make himself feel welcome.

has there ever been a poster (besides wrigley23) to have made every single post in their NSBB history about one topic? did cubstitlelives sign up just to bitch about Bradley?

I don't know, but he's turning every discussion about Bradley into the kind of juvenile crap you'd see on Cubs.com.

As more inside info leaks out about Milton's stellar year with the Cubs, during coming months, the number of his defenders and apologists will dwindle to about zero. That said, if the Cubs had just kept him batting 2nd the whole year and somehow kept him from talking to any reporters... what a sad affair.

Looks like Hendry has found a suitor. Maybe Bradley for Millwood could happen.

He was very upfront about how bad he was doing when he started so cold.

From chicagosports.com

Hendry's decision to suspend Bradley was based on several factors, including Bradley's claim to the Daily Herald that "negativity" surrounds the organization, as well as the outfielder's angry confrontation with hitting coach Von Joshua on Saturday after he refused to pinch hit.

I don't think anyone is defending him at this point.

Actually, I have no idea what the argument is anymore.
