Refs have suddenly decided to call a bunch of touch fouls on Purdue. Love it. Call it loose all game then under 5 call a bunch of touch fouls so we can have a close great finish to a game.

Hulls either called that timeout without the ball in his hands or while laying out of bounds.

There was a brief moment when he had the ball before his back hit the line, but a timeout call there would have required the official to just be waiting for that brief moment when he possessed the ball. I don't think he actually called the TO.

And holy cow, Kramer. Did you really just do that? I'm shocked they didn't call a foul despite there not being contact. Easily could have been a 3 point play.

I don't think Kramer even touched the ball, just Talor Battle Jr. whiffing on a layup.

I don't know why you bother guarding Rivers up 5 with 12 seconds left. His range is about 3 feet, give him the uncontested layup, who cares?

Looked clean on replays.

No, I know it was clean. The problem is that he made a motion that gets called a foul all the time for no reason. He took a huge swipe right over the guy's head. It easily could have been called a foul and it easily could have been a made layup.

Oh and Kelsey Barlow was definitely making the choke signal towards some IU player.

May be a benefit for him to sit. He's got a lot of potential but right now doesn't do much to help.

I'll agree with you there. Kramer tends to get the benefit of the doubt due reputation on defense though.

I was honestly lukewarm on Crean when he was hired. Always thought he was a tad overrated and probably still is. Despite that, you can't argue one bit with his ability to get his team to play hard. When Creek went down I thought they were looking at last season all over again. I've been impressed with the play and effort though, with a few exceptions (Iowa).

I still contend that Verdell Jones is a lot better than many say. I've always disagreed with the assessment that he's only playing so much because he plays at IU. He has his bonehead moments, but IU would be lost without him.

hawkeye, i like you, but you're trolling in pretty much every way. you come on here and call mccamey names and refer to the illini program in a discourteous manner just to stir things up. when illini fans get defensive, you call them homers when nothing really could be farther from the truth. i don't think anyone has been harder on our coach and team this year than illini fans. i routinely rip on mike tisdale and davis, cole, and keller, illiniguy is obsessed with how bad of a coach weber is, SSR is harder on the team than anyone.

Oh I know it. It was frustration from sitting through another Big Ten loss where we felt like the road team in a home game.

All that aside, McCamey is a hell of a nice player and I would kill to have him at Iowa but I wouldn't put him in the top 10 this year and would take Lucas and Battle over him. Hughes is close because I think he's a better defender.

As far as McCamey's play last night, imagine you were playing Purdue and Kramer rolled around slamming the floor like he had a broken nose. Then when the officials should have let it play out, they blow the whistle while we have a 5 on 4 and he immediately gets up, walks down the court perfectly fine and never leaves the game.

I told you guys I thought he acted like a total punk when I saw him at Iowa. For a guy who really doesn't do much, he talked 100x more than anyone else on the court. He thinks he's the ish. It's funny they have 3 NBA players who carry themselves the right way and I really like watching them play. Then they have two clowns who aren't even good.

The door is wide open for E.J. or UMFan to say something here.

Harris would've had to actually touch Kramer for it to be analogous.

The refs let the ball come up court, let Iowa get into an offense, and then they played catch at the top of the key. That's the established standard, as long as you're advancing the ball, play continues. Iowa doesn't start advancing the ball until there's 10 seconds on the shot clock so as they stood at the top of the key in a 5 on 4, the play was called dead. They did exactly what they're supposed to.

Apparently, that makes you crazy to even suggest a thing.

37 and 14 for Luke Harangody and ND clobbers Cincinnati. No stupid jumpers, soft play, or any of the other crap that's hampered him this year. If this version had shown up all year, ND might be near the top of the league.
