See Ryan...when Lou puts you in double play depth...he kinda assumes that you will be too far back to make a play at the plate. So when you get a grounder to you, guess what you do? (I'll give you a clue...its mentioned in the defensive formation you are in).

Thats right! You go for the double play.

God that sucked, so, so terribly. That game was every gaping flaw of this team out for everyone to gaze upon. Edited by BCVM22

Wouldn't have gotten the double play on that and Weeks was definitely safe.

with braun running? they had a better chance than they did at home.

and weeks was definitely safe.

It was hit right at him, he should've turned two.

BREWERS WIN THE PENNANT (I THINK!??!?!?!)

Oh well Weeks will get a nice fine for throwing equipment, douchebag.

we'd be celebrating the same for a walkoff win

With Theriot' noodle arm there was a far better chance of turning the DP than throwing out the runner at home.

Not slamming a helmet down in front of 2 other people... that's a fine. Not that it will really affect him at all, but it will be a little consolation prize for me I guess.

Weeks was out, fwiw.

No, his hand was on the plate before Hill brought the glove over. That was a pretty easy call.

Of course, he would have been out with a good throw. Too bad Ryan Theriot sucks at baseball.

The ball was deep in the hole. With Fatty running, maybe, but Braun, while not a speed demon, isn't the slowest guy in the world.

How many runs did Theriot cost us today?

Two - the error in the first and that horrible excuse for a major league play just now.

Theriot brought his bat today but he had a godawful defensive game. Jesus, what the hell was he thinking throwing home?

The Cubs wouldn't have turned two if Theriot didn't go home. His momentum was carrying him towards 3rd because Theriot is such a horrific defender that he couldn't get in position to make what should've been a routine DP.
