This has the makings of one of those GDTs that gets locked after 3 pages of bickering.

There's tough wins and tough losses every year... it's game 4 it's not big deal.

We're going to win a game later we have no business winning.

Harden was awesome, just sucks he got screwed out of a win yet again by his team.

BREWERS WIN THE PENNANT (I THINK!??!?!?!)

Oh well Weeks will get a nice fine for throwing equipment, douchebag.

we'd be celebrating the same for a walkoff win

Not slamming a helmet down in front of 2 other people... that's a fine. Not that it will really affect him at all, but it will be a little consolation prize for me I guess.

or like the catcher slamming a ball down in disgust at the call when the runner was clearly safe?

Posted
Wouldn't have gotten the double play on that and Weeks was definitely safe.

with braun running? they had a better chance than they did at home.

and weeks was definitely safe.

The ball was deep in the hole. With Fatty running, maybe, but Braun, while not a speed demon, isn't the slowest guy in the world.

It wasnt that deep, it would have been close at 1st

Are the Indians out of the race yet? Is Wood available?

We all know Kerry wouldn't blow a save against the Brewers in the first week of the season......

he didnt last year, the game was tied on opening day :P

How many runs did Theriot cost us today?

why the hell did i yell neifi nooo when he threw home

I lol'd.

If I'm coach of a high school team and one of my kids made that throw he'd be running laps. Hell, little league even.

Only one that you can definitely pin on him and that was the one in the first. The others just aided runs scoring.

I honestly don't think Ryan turns the DP if he goes that route, but that doesn't mean that he shouldnt have attempted it. That's why he's in DP depth. If Lou brought the IF in, then you go home.

Then again, if the IF is in, that ball gets through the IF into the OF.

JMO, he had a better shot at the DP than throwing home with his arm strength. I think it's a bad decision, but Theriot wasn't the only reason we lost today.

I'm hanging a good portion of it on Lou's mismanagement of the bench in the 8th.

I'd rather have lost this game with Harden being awesome than won a slugfest with Harden sucking... big picture...

He was a big part of it. He did contribute with the bat, though.

It would've taken a perfect throw to 2nd just to get the first out and would've made for an incredibly difficult turn.

The play was screwed up by Riot's lack of range as much as it was his lack of brains.

Weeks was out, fwiw.

No, his hand was on the plate before Hill brought the glove over. That was a pretty easy call.

Of course, he would have been out with a good throw. Too bad Ryan Theriot sucks at baseball.

Yeah. A good throw probably gets Weeks, assuming Hill handles the ball ok. But the short hop killed that chance.

Ah, true enough. But he looked just as bad.

The only reason I'm pissed off that we lost is because it slightly takes the wind out of my sails for tomorrow's game, which I'm going to.

Last year I thought the world was over when Wood blew that save in May against Milwaukee. This year, I saw how many games we had no business winning and won.

Oh, it also sucks that I can't go to brewerfan.net and see their reactions to a loss.

I think some of you guys hate Gregg a little too much.

I'm going to give him some time. Mostly because if we move Marmol into that role I'm not sure it really gains us anything, and it would take time to determine someone else on the staff that could take over anyway.

Are we really talking about fines or were you complaining about them celebrating a regular old win like it's the world series?

Because I'm pretty sure this is just as much a regular old loss.

There was as little wrong with the Brewers celebration as their was with Hill's display of disgust.
