I'm afraid to watch WGN or any other channel that might have HoF coverage. I can't take the look on Santo's face when he finds out he's been screwed over again. If they wait until Ronny passes on before they vote him in, that's going to be the biggest slap in the face I can imagine.

I think Sully expected Santo to make it. His article seems to have kind of a slant to it of "in the past he came close and fell short, but this year he didnt"

I just don't understand why the HoF Committee seems to hate Santo. He embodies everything that is good about baseball. He was a fantastic player and he lives and dies with everything the Cubs do. He's the type of person who should be a focal point of the HoF.

I want the bastards who voted against Ronny to simply explain why they did what they did.

 

Morgan said that everyone feels like someone should be in the HOF, but they can't agree on who. I think they said something like each veteran voted for an average of 3.3 people, but no one came out with the requisite 75%.

 

I think what they should do is instead of voting separately, they should all meet, and discuss the merits 1 by 1 of each player, and then vote for someone. I mean its a committee, and theres only 10 players on the ballot to discuss, it shouldn't be that hard.

So they drop the writers and broadcasters from the veterans committee and Ronny is farther away now than last year. Seems the players are the problem not the writers and broadcasters.
