Last week when I found out I was gonna get tickets I was much more excited than I am now.

Even so though, the place will be packed and I'd bet it'll be half Bear fans. So that will be neat.

Giving us 8 points is kind. But Bulger might even be able to make our secondary look good (again).

Easy Bears victory. The Rams have falling to pieces and will be lucky to win 1 or 2 more games. Bears 38, Rams 10.

My friends in St. Louis have advised me there's no reason to buy tickets in advance. They said a few weeks ago people were giving away lower bowl tickets for $10 and $20 close to gametime right by the dome. I'm on the fence about driving down to see the game. That dome is a horrible place to watch football.

It's the Bears. Only a fool would give away tickets that a lot of people would be willing to pay for.

Yeah, that's true for some of the games, but probably not for this one.

No Jackson, no Pace. Bears better win. Maybe the defense will even get a sack.

Woah, woah lets not rush things here. Just get a hurry this week. Maybe a hit the week after, then we can look for some sacks.

So, was Sunday just a bad week or the beginning of the end. Thing that sucks is that we still may not know this week after facing a horrible Rams team. I didn't see this team winning in Minnesota, when they were playing well. The last 3 weeks (don't forget about he crappy Lions game and 41 points to the Vikes before that) makes me worry about being able to win more than the Rams and Texans games.

Which = 7-9

What are you disagreeing with? The ticket availability and price? Or the fact the dome sucks to watch football?

I'm sorry, I meant that I doubt you'll be able to get a $10 or $20 ticket right at gametime. Demand will be a bit higher than that.

I totally agree that the dome is an awful place to watch football. Even when it gets loud, it feels artificial.

I'm pretty sure he's saying the giving away of tickets won't be as rampant this week because of so many Bears fans being around to buy them. And that place isn't terrible to watch the game when the Rams are doing well and people are excited.

I'll be right next to the Bears tunnel for the game by the way.

Stubhub has the cheapest tix at $55.

For the next 3 STL games, they have them in the teens. The Bears are close enough that demand will be higher than it would be for other teams.

I still think they should beat New Orleans at home. But you are right, this wasn't a one weak stumbling block, they haven't played all that well for over a month. They need to destroy STL to make me think they have a chance of winning 9 this year.

Right. It won't be insane like it was for the MNF game two years ago, but people will probably get face value or slightly more.

I think it was last year or the year before tickets were being left in car windshields downtown. No joke.

Football should be played on God's green grass under His blue sky. It's stupid for places like St. Louis and Indianapolis to have domes. (Arizona is the only team that should be playing in a dome because of 100 degree temps in September and October.)

I totally agree with you, and you probably know this, but it was the only way St. Louis was going to get a team. They needed a new convention center downtown, so the funding got wrapped into that. The money just isn't there to support spending $500M on a new, football-only stadium.

And I'll tell you this: if the stadium was outdoors, attendance would plummet. Half the crowds at Rams games are bluehairs. They get mad at you if you stand up and cheer. It's like the expensive seats at Cardinal games. Plus, there's no history with this franchise and really no emotional connection, aside from their flash-in-the-pan a few years ago. If people here had to sit out in the cold, they wouldn't go.

I got 8 tickets together in the upper tank for $65 each. Not great, but we have 8 together, so that made it a bit tougher.

Staying in the Hilton next to Busch Stadium this weekend. Let's hope the Bears can win.

If you see a guy in a white Rex Grossman jersey, it's probably me. (I got it for $20 after he broke his ankle in the preseason game against the Rams in 2005 if that makes it more acceptable :D )

Edit: The game being inside is the only way the wife and a few of the other women going with us would go. So, I'm glad for the dome!

I'll be in the navy Grossman jersey. Unfortunately. Don't know where my seats are yet.

My wife asks to go to a game every year specifically so she can watch football where it's meant to be played.

Mine basically refuses to go to football games. She HATES football. We go to a ton of baseball and hockey games, but it's something about football.

I think it's because her dad totally ignored her on Sundays when she was a kid. He's the one I'm going to the game with on Sunday. :D

That's why I'm glad Chicago never built the Bears a dome attached to McCormick Place.

I've sat in the lower bowl at a Rams game and it's amazing at how lame the crowd is down there. Rich, old people barely paying attention to the game. I've seen people told to sit down or even kicked out for standing and cheering on a defensive third down. I've seen people reading the newspapers or books sitting 10 rows from the field at the 50 yard line. When I was working down in St. Louis and went to some game, a lot more fun was had in the upper terrace where the real fans are.
