I got 8 tickets together in the upper tank for $65 each. Not great, but we have 8 together, so that made it a bit tougher.

By the way, I don't know how familiar you are with St. Louis, but if you need any dinner/bar suggestions, things like that, just let me know.

I can also help. I was stuck down there for about 18 months and still have to visit fairly often.

Thanks for the offers guys. Our plan is fairly well set because we have a few friends from STL that we'll be meeting up with. Not planning on a fancy dinner or anything. We are going to do the standard tourist things on Saturday afternoon (Arch, Budweiser brewery). Probably go out to the landing on Friday because we won't get in until after midnight. Saturday night we'll probably go out to the neighborhood bars. Our friends live near the brewery, so probably somewhere near there. Any suggestions?

Big Daddy's and Truemann's on Sidney are good neighborhood-type bars. They are really close to the brewery. If you want a nicer dinner, Frazer's on Pestalozzi (literally right across the highway from the brewery) is great and Venice Cafe (eclectic, more artsy type of bar) is right next to that. Gus's Pretzels is also nearby.

Otherwise, there are literally dozens of bars in the Soulard neighborhood just north of the brewery. I'm sure your friends that live there know them.

Some places I like in the Soulard area:

1860 Hardshell cafe: good blues

Feraros Pizza: great NY/NJ style pizza. Not that cr*p St. Louis style stuff.

Chavas: good Tex-Mex place. Well run and good food.

Cat's Meow: great dive bar with super cheap drinks.

I feel guilty that I will be forcing my guests to watch this on the big tv Sunday.

Must win.

I just get this feeling they're done, and we're going to see a dead football team from here on out. They might beat the Rams in spite of that though.

I don't know. Now I feel more like I did in August about this team than I did after those few wins in September/October.

I have this sinking feeling that no matter how well we do on the ground with Forte, that Bulger is gonna carve us up through the air, and we'll be hearing the name "Donnie Avery" a lot.

Rams: 28

Bears: 20

Ugh.

I wore my Bears shirt on Wednesday and had about 5 people ask me to explain why their fantasy defense has sucked this year :)

I'd actually take the Rams and the points (9) tomorrow if I was a betting man. And I'd feel pretty good about it too.

The Rams are terrible. The Bears aren't losing this game. In fact they'll probably be in first at the end of tomorrow. I don't see the Vikings winning and I am still doubtful to if Green Bay can beat someone decent on the road (they can, they just need to do it.)

I've not really cared much about the Bears this year, but I've come to the conclusion that the best thing for this franchise in the long term would be for them to not only not make the playoffs, but play poorly the rest of the way in order to force change.

Today would be a great game for them to lose.

but what do we really want to change? the coach? the players? the upper management?

i don't think this team needs a drastic change at all. what they need is for chris williams to come in next year and play like a #1 pick and to draft a good pass rusher and perhaps acquire a good pass rusher during the off season.

this team's problem is pass rush and the o-line. we don't need drastic change, just a tweak or two here and there. i think people are really exaggerating what this team needs.

I think the coaching staff save Turner and Taub (sp) need to go. I think the defense needs about 3-4 players to turn over. Smith and Babich are really, truly poor coaches.

We need players on every skill position on offense save Forte. I'm not 100% sold on Orton, but he has 0 WR's, and teams are beginning to adjust to the whole "match up Greg Olsen against a LB" thing.

They need at least 2 good draft classes to be a title contender. I'm not going to be satisfied with competing in the division and being, at best, a 10-6 team.

The dome looks empty. Guess I should have gone down and tried to get a ticket.

Yeah I thought about driving down, but I decided to just take the weekend and relax at home.

Guys, the Rams are awful. I know the Bears have had some ugly games lately, but the Rams are Lions bad. They haven't even been competitive. Bears will cover the spread in this one.
