not really... only three or four teams in the acc have a legitimate chance of winning. the others while alive really do not. the acc has good teams. in fact, if you lined up the teams 1-4 from the acc vs the teams 1-4 from the big xii. the acc would win two of the four games if not more. theyre as good as any body out there. big xii south included. it's too bad the world doesn't think that. come bowl season people will be surprised about how well the acc performs.

i like how this is a statement of fact, even though the sagarin ratings have the 4 big xii teams in the top 8, and the top 4 acc teams are ranked #16, 19, 23 and 24.

 

by the way, your beloved sagain predictor suggests that ball st would, on average, win more often than not against every acc team except for north carolina.

ok so just so we're clear, the sagarin predictor is gospel when it shows what you want it to show (florida is awesome) and meaningless when it doesn't show what you want it to show (big xii top 4 easily better than acc top 4, ball st could be competitive in the acc)

Being an FSU fan/alum I would like to defend Meph on his premise that the ACC top 4 could compete with the Bix XII top 4. But even the homer in me can't say that FSU could beat Texas, Texas Tech, OU, or OSU at this point in time.

 

We might be able to give them a game, but I can't see us winning. Hell, I can't see an ACC team winning one of the top 4 matchups, period. I would assume it would happen, but I can't see who it would be or give a good reason as to why it would happen.

I agree with your assessment of the Big Ten Andy. I think a reason for this is that several of the more talented teams are young and inconsistent. PSU and MSU are veteran teams that have played pretty consistent. OSU is just way more talented.

Did anybody see Gameday this morning? Man what a disturbing story about LSU fans (sorry Vance), that their burning Saban eventually turn into a burning cross and nobdoy at LSU did anything to stop it in the week since it happen.
