I never understood the Circus crap all these years...can't they just scedule that damn thing during the summer? I definelty puts the team at a disadvantage. Yes, you still play the same home/away games when all is said and done, but if you spread out those away games better, you obviously would have a chance to win more of them IMO.

Obviously, it didn't matter for the great 90's teams because they were just so damn good, but now it really seems to be hurting a team that is still farily young.

How many games have they won on this trip since the Jordan days? It's gotta be less than ten.

it's not a terrible argument if you think those players don't stand a chance in the long run.

if the Bulls win in the mid 40's and fight for a low seed, as I have expected them to all along (even before they went 5-5 in the first ten when i expected around a 5-12 start - watch them go 0 - 7 the rest of this stretch), and the grizzlies win in the high 20's (as I expect), I don't think it'll be all that close... unless being on such a bad team lets him REALLY pad his stats.

but you're right, mayo is quietly putting up really nice numbers and is obviously a contender.

Rudy Fernandez probably will have the best PER among rookies; what he has done is sustainable. i just think it's a highly flawed way of evaluating players, in it's current form.

Mayo's also not on a team that's much worse than Rose, and neither are really padding their stats because of it, they're both playing with very good efficiency.

I think a the 06-07 season was the first time they'd won any circus trip games in a few years - like since 2002 or something.

So...are the bulls going to win this year on the circus trip?

I think Golden State and Philadelphia are more than winnable games for us.

That's it? This is going to suck again then.

San Antonio without Parker and Ginobili is a winnable game too.

Rumor to get us through another Bulls offday:

According to ontheinside2 on the Oregon Live Forums (a massive Blazers forum that is part of an Oregon newspaper’s website), the Bulls are discussing a trade that will send Kirk Hinrich and Cedric Simmons to the Portland Trail Blazers for Raef Lafrentz and Sergio Rodriguez.

ontheinside2, according to Blazer fans, is a reputable source who has broken news in the past.

This would be an awesome trade. We'd have cap space (Raef I think its an 11m expiring) to make a run at Boozer or even Kobe if he opts out, and we could resign Gordon if he keeps playing well.

holy crap Raef is still playing? One of my few degrees of separation to "fame", is my uncle is friends with Raef's parents.

Don't forget Gooden expires after this year too.

I think this would leave us a bigger players in the 2010 class (the LeBron, Wade, Bosh one). Hughes' contract comes off the shelves then as well and if we could find a way to trade Nocioni by then, we'd be looking real good to make a run at one of those guys.

Oh............hell yes, pull that damn trigger Paxson. Not so much because of the exp contract--which is nice---but I love to get Sergio Rodriguez on the Bulls.

And no UMFan, I don't want Kobe. Not because he can't still bring it, or his past, it because getting Kobe the window of opportunity would be short. I would prefer to go after somebody like Bosh in 2010.

I heard Portland wanted a veteran PG. Hinrich would actually be a decent fit there. Rudy Fernandez is an excellent player and would be the big guard that the Bulls desperately need.

Serge would be a good fit for the Bulls, and Hinrich would fit better with the Blazers than with the Bulls. That trade rumor has a lot of potential on both sides.

Yeah, but Portland is extremely high on Fernandez and doubtful he would be available.

Yeah, I know. I don't know why they would trade Fernandez, but have to trade something to get something. I'd be willing to throw in Deng after 12/15 and take back Pryzbilla and Diogu (other big contracts of non-core players) if needed.

Unfortunately Deng is basically untradeable. Due to his contract extension, Deng is a BYC player which makes trading Deng is virtually impossible seeing as the Bulls could only take about a certain amount in return. So Deng is untouchable this yr.

lol technical difficulties

I think there have been three of them so far.

This is the first Bulls game I have sat down to. Man, how did Rose only average 15 or so in college? He is lightning quick.

Gordon on Radmonovich. That is a matchup problem.

Gasol with 18 in the first with 2:11 left. Wow.

Deng is a $70 million dollar player who doesn't do anything particularly well. He can't post up, can't shot threes, is not a good ball handler, and isn't even physical. And we couldn't trade him for Kobe.

The effort level in the interior and in transition is pretty awful. Get that fixed Vinny.

And this team isn't nearly talented enough to overcome the stupidity of Gooden, Hughes, Thomas, etc. Gooden is one of the very dumbest players I've ever seen.

What purpose does Larry Hughes serrve? he's not even a good a midrange jump shooter as Gooden for Christ's sake.
