Geez guys, be baseball fans, not jealous cubs fans. Things like this are what make baseball great. I don't care who wins, I just love baseball.

We're certainly allowed to pick sides.

If I wanted to see the same thing I saw last year, I'd pick the Red Sox to come back from 3-1 again.

The Red Sox are like cockroaches, they just won't die

Ping isn't being a jealous Cubs fan.

And thanks for telling me who to root for.

Baseball has become exponentially more annoying to me.

As the vermin comparisons go, I find Pedroia to be more ratlike, personally.

Oh man, I feel for Rays fans. This is 2003 Cubs redux

I feel sorry for the 10 of them who paid attention to the team all year long. The rest of them - and by that I mean everyone who started watching and pulling for the team in late September/early October - I don't feel the least bit bad for.

One of my friends - who is a Cubs fan first - has been following the Rays for quite a few years now and is talking about quitting baseball if the Rays lose. I'm sure he's not serious, but man he's having a rough October in baseball.

I have a friend who has lived in TB his whole life that is the same way. He went through a tough time when the Cubs lost, and he considers the Rays his number 1 team. Haven't talked to him yet since this collapse begun.

Personally, I like seeing dynasties. I'd love for the Red Sox to make it to that point.

Yet, I was hoping for a "Curse of the Manny Ramirez" and they don't win another WS for another 80 yrs.

Patriots dynasty was cool to me because they were such good teams.

The Red Sox are certainly a good group of players but the complete amount of crazy bandwagoners has ruined the good feelings I would ahve for them.

I hope they lose badly, but of course they'll win and then beat the Phillies.

i think it is brilliant that the red sox are coming back in this series and i think they take it tonight

tampa will be a better club next year, so they have nothing to worry about...they will only have time to expand a more thoughtful fanbase...

i do think the phillies beat the crap out of the red sox in the world series though

I think the Rays have the momentum in this game, whatever that means.

Apparently momentum is an interchangeable word for lead in some announcing circles.

I didn't mind Chip so bad when he was here, but he is really annoying. When the hitter hits a flare to shallow outfield, he keeps saying that the ball is getting "fisted" for a hit. Ahem. Reminds me of "a laser to the left field gap!" Just plain goofy.

An inning or two ago, there was a ball hit almost to the warning track and Chip's call was "popped to shallow right." Or that Upton line foul in the 5th where he acted like it had a better than 25% chance of going fair when it clearly didn't
