If they take it game by game, winning 3 straight is certainly something they are capable of. If they play like last night where they just waited for the implosion to happen, their done. Harden should be good enough to allow the Cubs to win, but I don't really trust any of our pen, so its tough to be optimistic.

It would be neat if Lou actually led us a playoff win one day. Not a series win (that's just unreasonable), just a single game.

Hell, I'd take them leading after 5 innings, winning a playoff game? I think were aiming just a little too high but, its nice have high goals.

Anyone think Lou is upset enough to issue a challenge to these walking corpses? Something along the lines of get your collective heads out of your collective rectums and show some pride?

I might watch Harden pitch for an inning or two. But I'm not watching this game.

And ya know, the better team in the Phillies series is ahead 2-0. Just sayin.

And, after they dispatch of the Brewers, they'll probably kick the crap out of the Dodgers, by simply catching ground balls. Imagine that, the team that catches the ball has a good chance of winning.

We all thought the cubs were a better team than the Dodgers and look how that has turned out thus far

The Phillies are benefiting from Milwaukee having a pitcher who cant throw more than 75 pitches because he has been injured all year and another who hasn't pitched on normal rest in at least 2 weeks.

The Phillies are also benefitting from players who can hit the baseball.

A slight technicality but, yes, it is helpful to have some players who can actually put the ball in play and manage a few hits.

What' really going to upset me is prior to this game we'll read all of obligatory rah-rah nonsense from Lou, Z and the great D-Lee only to watch them go through the motions and lose 2-0.

I can't go over to Dodgerblues, but I can imagine them whooping it up like crazy over there. I used to laugh when I read their forum because all they did is wallowed in selfpity because they only won 1 playoff game since 1988 (when they won the World Series). That just makes me sick.

And catch the damn ball.

I wont be watching.

In fact I haven't really watched more than 5 or 6 combined innings of the previous 2 playoff games. If they force a game 5 I might flip it on for a bit.

Cubs win this, they win the series.

(And they should really win this game. Harden's the best or 2nd best pitcher in the NL for a single game.)

They should, but then again they shouldn't have gotten down 0-2 in their home building to the Dodgers either.

Is this like "if the Cubs win game 3, they will have Zambrano in game 4 and anything can happen in game 5 even if Webb is pitching. We really should win this game, Livan Hernandez is starting!"?

Is this like HA, if any team's coming back from 3-0 it's certainly not going to be the cursed Red Sox, and definitely not against the mystique of the Yankees.

I've said all along we get swept or we win the series. The bats just have to effin wake the F up. Lou could probably afford to calm his ass down too.

Still can't believe they lost to that noodle armed joke.

I agree, earlier I posted that Lou should get on their asses but, in rethinking, the only approach that may work is Lou telling F*** it, were out anyway, lets just play.

I'm one of the dumbasses who'll be at the game.

I think the Cubs win games 3 and 4, lead game 5 till the 9th inning and then blow the series there.

Or they get no-hit by Kuroda.

Can we change the Cubs name in the heading to Losers. Then if they win Game 3 we can change it to Cobs for Game 4 and if they win that change it to Cubs for game 5. Hey I'm reaching..I'm just grasping at straws to hang on to hope, but hope always finds a way to f me in the a.
