Yo, doobie-doobie-dew...

Just saw that Brandon Warren won his appeal. Tennessee's offense just got much more potent.

:yahoo:

Awesome, awesome news! I love Warren's ability and he'll definitely help our offense out. I'm drooling just thinking about him and Aaron Douglas on the field at the same time soon.

That might be a long wait. Douglas still has not practiced with full contact, and if Cottam is able to get healthy, Aaron would at best be a 4th stringer. I'd imagine a redshirt this year, so maybe next year or Warren's Sr year, but I doubt it happens this year at all.

Still, great news for UT.

Yeah, soon was a bad word. I figured Douglas would redshirt this year (especially with Warren in the fold) and was thinking forward to next year.

A Warren/Cottam duo would be really nice, though.

Agreed. THough, with Cottam out due to injury (can the Cottam's catch a stinking break?!?) it sounds like Luke Stocker is turning heads. It will be nice to have 3 legitimate threats at TE. Sounds like the Clawfense might look at some H-Back stuff, like we did with Chris Brown.

Now that Warren is in the fold, I'm thinking 34-10 UT. (Okay, I don't really expect to win by 24, but I can certainly hope, can't I?)

I knew Stocker was turning heads, but I didn't know Cottam was still injured - I thought he'd be recovered by now. What is with the Cottams and their injuries?

And I could see a 24 point win. It's on the upper end of what I think could happen, but if Morley, Berry, Willingham and Vinson (assuming he gets out of the doghouse) are in top form, it could be that bad.

Tennessee boys....this is the easiest schedule I can remember you guys having. Florida's is a bear.

It's not entirely our fault. Who'd have thought Dorrell would destroy UCLA's football team back 5 years or so ago when we scheduled them.

UAB has fallen off a cliff since we scheduled them, but they were only decent back then anyway. Wyoming is a normal homecoming pushover and NIU is down from where they normally are.

So yeah, outside the SEC is easier than normal, but the conference schedule is going to be brutal.

Well if the other SEC teams are playing the same type of OOC schedule you are it should match up some 3-0/4-0 and make it look even better!

Seriously, your conference has stepped it up a bit with the exception of LSU, theirs is terrible.

Arkansas' is pretty terrible, Kentucky's is bad because Louisville has fallen off the map (that's the same problem as UT though), and yes, LSU's is horrible.

Otherwise, everybody's playing at least one quality team.

One good game (Texas), three terrible games (W. Illinois, Tulsa and UL-Monroe)

I actually stand corrected. Somehow, on first look, I completely missed that Arkansas played Texas - not sure how I forgot about that.

Strike the Razorbacks from my crap list. :D

Tulsa won 10 games last year and were 6th in the NCAA in scoring. I don't know why you would call them terrible. It's a game the Hogs could easily lose this year. Tulsa will probably be favored.

I really hope they can pull out a few games they're not supposed to win this year, because next year is freaking BRUTAL. They play the SEC West, as usual, but from the East, they play Florida and Georgia, as well as SC. Then they play Texas and aTm in non-conference.

One week til I head down to the Dome for the game. I really can't wait. It's gonna be a long, long week at work. I'm even more excited cause it'll be the first time I've seen a lot of my college friends since graduation. Plus, I think Mizzou should win. So it should be a great weekend.

Not to get too much off topic, but what're you doing since you graduated?

Just wondering if it would be ok for me to start a Illinois-Mizzou thread by itself? We have lots of fans of both teams, and just thought it would be easier and such. I wont start it till I get an Ok from a mod though

Boo you suck! Just kidding, but I was just trying to eliminate all the people complaining about the banter that is going to happen back and forth the next week. Last year it seemed like there was alot of complaining about all of it. No big deal, but with that said...

Mizzou Sucks! Heres an interesting tidbit:

since the formation of the Big 12 Conference in 1996, the University of Missouri's combined athletic teams have brought home a total of TWO conference championships.

Congrats to Missouri Women's Softball, the 1997 Big 12 regular season and tournament champions

Make Chase cry!

I had a group planning on it, but Ive had a sick kid for the last couple weeks and with that comes extra bills, so no I wont be able to make it. I really really wish I could. Should definately be a fun game.

It's when Big Ten season actually starts that we'll really get sick of you people.
