If Mizzou drew any of the other 14 seeds, I think I'd have them losing. Same with Gonzaga and the 13s and Utah and the 12s. What an awful year for first round upsets.

the only upset anyone has in the first round is a team that lost by 30 to murray state beating illinois.

I really don't see it happening with WKU's tallest player being 6'9. Mike and Mike should have huge games.

I could see Mizzou losing to just about anybody beyond the first round, but if there's one thing they do well, it's dominate teams with lesser athletes. Mizzou hasn't been upset in that fashion by a small conference school since Anderson came on 3 years ago.

I also want to be on record calling Cal shooting Memphis out of the tournament.

am I just being crazy/biased against Unc or does anyone else think Gonzaga or even Syracuse have a good shot of beating them. I have the zags beating them at the moment but i have been burned by them a couple times so I am not sure.

Gonzaga sucks.

Admittedly I haven't seen Gonzaga play more than 3-4 times this year (none of them included the Memphis beatdown) but I didn't get that impression from watching them or their resume.

On a neutral court they got 8 and 9 point wins over Okie State and Tennessee and a 22 point win over Maryland. All relatively average teams but all at-large tournament teams also. They won at Washington State by 22. They won at Tennessee by 10.

They lost by 5 to Arizona in Phoenix. Lost to Connecticut in overtime, and lost to Utah by 1 when they had a couple chances to win at the buzzer.

They've got a lot of experience, a good coach and at least a couple of NBA players.

well, i'd say that 90% of everyone who has done a bracket has westen kentucky winning, regardless of the fact that they lost to florida international.

i don't care a whole lot, but it's annoying seeing everyone who has wku beaming about it like they're some sort of genius because they saw jay bilas pick them. i hope the team reacts to it and runs up the score.

chester is a major loss on the defensive end, though.

I'll be cheering for all the Big Ten teams, even though I know that the entire Final Four could come from the conference and no one would give them any credit. At least the matchups aren't as terrible as the B10 Bowl Matchups were.

Illinois was probably overseeded as a 5, especially without Frazier. I'm just glad they have the opportunity to play the weakest 12-seed.

As will I. Come tournament time/bowl games I root for the Big Ten teams except never for IU.

My dad told me one of the ESPN or CBS analysts during the bracket announcing said Purdue will come out of the West and make the Final Four. Anyone see that? I didn't and want to know who it was.

We did fine against Michigan without him, and I don't think there's a Manny Harris on Western Kentucky.

Geez, Greg Doyle has Michigan and Dayton both in the Elite 8.

Michigan has a chance to be a Cinderella team. I don't know about all the way to the Elite 8 though.

michigan is a good pick to surprise, they have the horses and if they get hot, they could make some noise. i don't think they have much of a chance against oklahoma, though.

Clemson has been playing terrible lately. They started out the year like gangbusters but have since cooled way off. Ill take Mich by 10

It's about WKU' three point shooting sure, if there on, they'll be in the game and tough to beat but, no one has mentioned how a reliance on three can shoot you out of a game as well.

I to am thinking the Illini are going to post up Mike and Mike, the only thing WKU will able to do is push them off the block. Give me Mike and Mike baby hooks and three foot jumpers over three pointers any day.

Illinois is the most terrible team ever this year and will lose by forfeit. They will be down by so much at halftime that Weber will just have them not come out for the second half.

Wait a second, did I just wake up from a Digger Phelps wet dream?

Was Notre Dame somehow involved?

Yeah, they were the team that took up for us in the second half and stormed back to win. All on the back of Luke Harangody, getting athletic and throwing the ball at the rim.

duh.
