I hope Michigan doesn't have the same attitude as I do regarding their game tomorrow.

I was so nervous for Selection Sunday all week last week. When their name was announced I felt so much relief. But strangely enough, I am not getting that pumped up for this game. I feel like I'm getting the dreaded "just happy to be there" feeling. I definitely won't be upset if Michigan loses...this season has already greatly exceeded even my wildest expectations.

Good call...but it definitely didn't work out as you would have expected. There were some moments where it looked like they were done. But, yes you were right and deserve props.

I don't think the recruiting edge is THAT great for a Cinderella team. George Mason was in the Final Four a couple of years ago, and just got bounced in the first round of the NIT this year. It makes for a good story, but very few schools see sustained success from it (Gonzaga being the exception to the rule)
I think Butler's an exception too; they seem to have sustained success for a few years now.

My work is doing a March Madness thing where we got to draw a team, and if that's the team that wins it, we get to have our lunch off campus for a day. I drew Western Kentucky. Go WKU.

You're going to be immensely popular here.

I'm rooting for all Big Ten teams (even Michigan) so that Digger will choke on his highlighter and die a painful death.

I don't like Digger either, but my bracket's more important to me than whatever comes out of his mouth.

I think we all root for that.

For your sake, I hope "rooting" doesn't mean betting on.

my dad's office runs a pool in a similar fashion, but instead of a team, you get a first round game, and whoever wins that game is your team. i get in it every year since i worked summers there for a million years, and since not many people joined this year, i got two sets of games. i ended up with washington and gonzaga as my two teams since they both won today

That's what I thought. Lunch off campus for a day? Sounds like an Office Space type company.

Oh, and remember: next Friday... is Hawaiian shirt day. So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.

It is, kind of. It's an elementary school.

Raisin, I don't know if you follow any of this stuff, but UCLA recruit Brendan Lane from Rocklin had 27 points, 19 rebounds and 10 blocks tonight in the Division II state title game, though Rocklin lost by 12.

Yeah, I saw snippets of the game on FSN Prime Ticket (but was mostly sticking with the Wisconsin-FSU game). Also heard that fellow UCLA commit Anthony Stover (from LA) was solid in his state title game at Arco.

So the wheels have completely come off the Iowa basketball program. As has been rumored, Jake Kelly is transferring back home to Indiana State. His mom had moved to Iowa City to be around during his college years but died in a plane crash last summer. He obviously had a hard time with it and is moving to Terre Haute where all of his family lives.

Also Jermain Davis a backup PG who was a JC transfer has been reportedly kicked off the team and starting PG Jeff Peterson is also said to be transferring. 1 or 2 others may also be leaving.

This is nuts.

I'm strongly considering rooting for Wartburg or something.
