I'm sorry but Murton has been junk all season with the Cubs and Iowa....

An outfielder with no XBH?

He prays for a walk each AB, and then will hit the pitchers pitch on the ground...

He posted a 400+ OBP in Iowa. If he can do that, I don't really care how hard or where he's hitting the ball.

I enjoy walks and OBP greatly.....however I would rather play somebody who's gonna put some good wood on the ball from time to time AND draw the occasional walk.

So it looks like Lilly finally had the game that could get him rolling a little bit. How did he look?

Spectuclar in the first 3 1/3 innings. Struggled after that with his control, but worked out of jams to only give up one run.

I gotta say Mr. Glanville was one of the better bottom of the 7th guests of the year.

It wouldve been nice to put an extra run on the board there though.

You can just tell by hearing him how smart he is. It was interesting to hear a former player's take on sabermetrics.

Much better, but still had some problems with his control. He's still got work to do, but it's a sigh of relief.

Thank you, what a surprise, Marmol is excellent again. How many K's?

Marmol's trend of making half his appearances when the game is not within 2 runs continues.

And it needs to end.

He's pitched 11 of the teams 20 games. He is on pace to pitch in 89 games this year

I think I've read that the once the Cubs get Wood warm, they will definitely use him in a game. But I have to imagine that if they break through here in the 8th, it could be worthwhile not to use him here.
