Good to see the Pirates back.

Bad to see Ian Snell going up against anyone not named Zambrano or Dempster.

Better get it back on track in this game.

Soriano 6 for 12 with 3 HRs vs. Snell.

Hopefully, this is Eric Patterson's 2008 debut. Fontenot should be sitting. I'd like to see Cedeno start, but he's probably going to play Sat and Sun. Soto should have a good game against Snell.

If Rich Hill gives up more than 3 runs, he'll be sent to extended Spring Training.

Pawelek already moved to the top bunk just in case.

I would have though Lou would have taken this opportunity to throw Marquis on regular rest and not pitch the lefties back to back.

Well, the lefties are facing different opponents, remember.

Eventually, they won't be. Both should face the Cards to start the month of May.

Well, 2 of 3 from the Reds, if Cubs are going to persist with this vs the Pirates and the remainder of the season I think I'll manage to live with .667 ball. It'll be difficult but, I'll adjust.

And if that happens what are the odds that there will be a 10 page thread complaining about the Cubs winning too many games so they won't be ready for the playoffs or something like that?

I like us in this one, especially if Snell is in a bad mood. When he's in a bad mood, he usually wins.

We have a new name for that in Pittsburgh. We call it a ball. Last year, more times than not, it was strike 3.
