It was determined earlier this week that Pie would sit "for a few days" while the team worked with him on some things offensively. With 2 lefties to finish this weekend, Felix should be in the lineup again on Monday vs. Maine.

 

Also, I don't know if anyone has mentioned this ever in the history of this board, but don't base your opinions on Felix's 3 starts in the last 2 weeks, especially when he was pulled in the 3rd inning of one and the other came against one of the best RHs in the NL (Harang) and the other came against Myers (who dominated the entire Cubs lineup. Maine and Figeroa next week should be much better matchups for Lix.

On Wednesday Bruce said Lou was going to hold out Pie and work with him 1 on 1 to help fix Pie's swing and that this would initially be 2-3 days. Being Friday, thats pretty much expected. I'd wait until Sunday to get upset (barring lefties of course).

 

EDIT: Raw puts it better anyway two posts earlier.

 

Not sure if I'm down with the "Lix" nickname though...

Step 2: Talk up his makeup and intangibles, make him an "untouchable" trading chip

Step 3: Hand him the job.

Step 4: Sign a mediocre vet for him to split time with.

Step 5: Pull him at the first sign of trouble and give the vet more playing time.

Step 6: Tinker with his swing, try to turn him into a different kind of hitter.

Step 7: Spread rumors that he's uncoachable and has a bad makeup.

Step 8: Dump him
