Wow, no help D? How can you let Ray Allen get in such a close game.

What a choke job/great comeback.

Wow how do you give up an uncontested layup to Allen with 16 seconds left? Then they inbound the ball before taking the timeout. Series over.

So many brain farts. Hope you got to watch the end.

Yeah I saw the last 5 minutes on channelsurfing.net. Not great but it worked.

I cannot possibly express how happy I am (well, relatively speaking) that I did not get to watch any of this game.

Since I really don't know what happened other than the Lakers just recorded the biggest choke job in NBA Finals history, I will say that the Celtics deserve this title. Yes, the series is over. The Celtics have outplayed the Lakers in three of the four games and the fourth game was even. The Celtics have flat out been the better team. I'm really happy with the Lakers season and know that the best is yet to come and the Lakers advanced further than I expected them to this year. It's been a good run.

Honestly, though I think the Lakers will push it to 6 and send it back to Boston (which would actually be nice so Boston can celebrate on its own court), I hope the Celtics just end it in 5. Don't delay the inevitable, just end it ASAP.

Just like when San Antonio lost to the Lakers by 30 in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, NBA Champions don't lose games like that. They don't lose by 30 in any building in the playoffs and they sure as hell don't blow 20 point leads and lose at home with 18 minutes left. Yes, I realize that the Celtics nearly blew a 20 point lead in Game 2 but they won the game. The Lakers didn't and that's the difference between the two teams.

Congrats Boston and especially Kevin Garnett. Even though it came at the expense of the Lakers, I'm glad KG got a title. Too bad Paul Pierce has to get one as well.

If my TV didnt have volume i wouldnt know that there is anybody in attendance at the Staples Center. The only people i can see are like the first 15 rows behind the benches. It looks like the only lights on are the ones over the court. What the heck, i dont like that.

Well at least the Lakers got there. I'd take a Finals loss from the Bulls right now.

And really, as tough as it is right now to deal with losing, I'm happy with the season as a whole. Obviously it would be really nice to have won the title but even without considering the whole Kobe situation, I thought it would be a struggle for the Lakers to make the playoffs. And before Bynum went down and the Gasol trade happened, they were playing much, much better than I expected them to.

All I hope at this point is that Bynum will be healthy next year because if he is, the Lakers will be the favorite to represent the West in the Finals again.

I'd just like to say go Celtics. I feel a little bad about it, though, because I'm a bit of a fair-weather fan. I've been a Celtics fan my whole life, but I haven't really cared about the NBA for years.

In any case, I'm glad for the Celtics - although I'm not counting the Lakers out yet. They're a tough team, and I'd be surprised to see them go down quietly.

I really should be happy that the Lakers are up 17 after the first quarter but because Game 4 happened, I'm pretty indifferent.

And here we go, it's down to 7. Please Boston, just end this thing today.

EDIT: Make that four points.

How do you score 39 points in the first 12 minutes, then 4 the next 8 minutes?

I'm trying to figure that one out myself. It's incredibly frustrating.

The Lakers scored 39 points in the first quarter. Then they scored 6 points in the first 8 minutes of the second quarter and followed that up with 10 points in the next three minutes.

Nothing like delaying the inevitable.

It's amazing to me that even when the Lakers beat the Celtics, they don't look like the better team.

I never want to hear Kobe vs. MJ again. The craptacular second half Kobe put up tonight (apart from the steal that was actually a foul) would've never ever ever ever ever happened to Michael Jordan in a gazillion years.
