Wrigley Field has Patterson looking like he did when he was on the Cubs. Hackin at everything. Phillips did some nice hackin there as well.

You're saying his approach at the plate has changed since he was a Cub? Looks like the same Cpat to me. Even has the same OBP.

Um, did you even bother to read my post? He's been swinging at much more crap tonight than he has this season.

I did read your post. All you said is Cpat is hacking at everything. I don't see how that's different from 2005 version of Cpat.

That's exactly what I said!

"Wrigley Field has Patterson like he did when he was on the Cubs."

I guess I'm trying to figure out how Cpatt's just above .300 OBP this season means he's somehow a different person than he was when he was on the Cubs. Yeah, he's got some homeruns, but he's still up there hacking.

2 strike outs and 4 swing and misses coming into tonight is hacking?

Anybody think that Dusty would have his pitching coach come out to make the changes, for fear of damaging his fragile ego by the boos??

Come on now.

Anyone think we might actually be a better team if Murton comes up to start in left?

No

I don't think there's that much of a difference.

Cons:

-50 points in SLG

-outfield defense

Plus:

-able to construct a more sensible lineup

- 30 points of OBP

somethings don't change

- W. Ohman relieved B. Carlyle

- W. Helms hit for R. Pinto

- R. Pinto walked, M. Jacobs scored, J. Cantu to third, M. Rabelo to second

- H. Ramirez walked, J. Cantu scored, M. Rabelo to third, W. Helms to second

Matt Murton simply isn't a better player than Alfonso Soriano by any stretch of the imagination. That's really all there is to it.

DLee smacking Fontenot and Theriot on the head reminds me a king admiring his court midget jesters

Reminds you? That's what he's doing. Lee is king of the world - the rest of the planet just doesn't know it yet.

Harang at 95 pitches. He should be good for two more innings.

His day is done.

If he comes up to bat this inning he'll come out. Otherwise - I could totally see him pitching next inning.
