They didn't pass us, they've been in front of us in the human polls. But yes, we should be ranked in front of WVU, but I'm not too worried about it since we'll jump them at the end of the season if we win.

Mizzou/K-State is on FSN. I don't understand how we end up on FSN rather than ESPN/ABC even more than last year when we weren't good. The Big 12 TV contract is a joke.

West Virginia was ranked ahead of Missouri in both the AP and Coaches Polls last week and they are this week which is what Andy is using. The BCS standings, on the other hand, had Missouri ahead of WVU but this weeks BCS standings haven't been released yet.

Not right now you shouldn't. Same strength of schedule according to Sagarin and the offenses are close, but Missouri's defense is far worse than WVU's.

But I agree that if Missouri wins out which would mean beating Kansas and Oklahoma, they should probably jump WVU.

Mizzou's loss is much "better", and their best win is better than WVU's. The only reason they aren't in front of WVU is the fact that they had higher to climb to get to that point.

WV-Mizzou would be a good game. I probably give a slight on the field edge to WVU. I think the running attack would gash Mizzou. As for the polls, it doesn't really matter. If you guys beat us and OU, you'll jump them. That's why I'm not too concerned about being ranked 4th. If we win out, the polls will adjust. Edited by snoodmonger

I don't think the Illinois-NW game is a complete mismatch. It'll be close, but Illinois should win it by 10 or so.

As for SIU, a win against Hampton, and we're good in terms of HFA for the first two rounds of the playoffs. Really pumped up about that.

And I haven't been too excited about an NIU game for a while, but Saturday's game against Navy should be fun to watch. Navy scores a lot and gives up a lot of points. I'm thinking something like a 63-56 score in that one.

I have a hard time believing any Big Ten game is a mismatch that doesn't involve Minnesota.

Illini back in the polls at #20, should actually make the BCS standings. Actually, 5 Big Ten teams could make the top 25 BCS standings, depending on Harris and computer ratings of Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Penn State. Of course, they could be 21-25.

Tennessee is about a 9 point favorite in that game. Mismatch? Not so sure.

(3) Oklahoma at Texas Tech (9 pm, ABC)

Oklahoma is about an 8 point favorite in that game. Mismatch? Not so sure.

(6) Missouri at Kansas State (12:30 pm)

Missouri is about a 4 point favorite in that game. Mismatch? Not so sure.

After what happened against Nebraska, I can't imagine that Missouri doesn't kill K-State

Probably. But based on what both teams have done thus far it's a good game. Based on how they're playing? Maybe not. That said who knows if getting their butts kicked won't light a fire under KSU. It did for Nebraska. I think Missouri will win it, but by two TDs not a mistmatch kind of score.

Hey guys, Illinois won yesterday.

I was in KAMs for the game(break out the pitchforks) It was like New Year's Eve as the game ended. Champagne bottles being sprayed everywhere. Shots straight from the bottle. Crowd surfing, ripping down ceiling tiles. It was awesome.

Time to check back on my predictions from last week, see how bad I was.

That game is a mismatch. KSU has gotten progressively worse since the CU game. OK St hung 40 something on them, they lost to ISU, and Nebraska corn-holed them. They only beat Texas because of three returns for TDs--a punt, a kickoff, and a pick. They'll need that kind of magic to have a chance against Missouri.

That Tennessee/Vandy game will be interesting. It should be a mismatch, but it depends largely on the Tennessee team that decides to show up. If the Vols that dominated Georgia and Arkansas show, it won't be close to a contest. But, if the team that lost to Cal, Florida, Bama and did their best to give away the South Carolina game shows, then it'll be very close.

By the way, the Arkansas win was awesome. I was at the game and as we left, we weren't sure McFadden had hit 100 yards. He ended up with 117, but the Tennessee defense just completely controlled that Razorback offensive line.

The only thing about the game that concerned me was Erik Ainge struggling again. He wasn't nearly as bad as against South Carolina, but he still looked a little off with some of his passes. He's got to get that worked out before Kentucky or I'm going to be really worried.

I wouldn't put OU over Texas Tech as a mismatch, not with our pass D and their offense.

Tech is a team that if you don't prepare for correctly or don't respect them they can beat any team in the nation. The example I still think of is what they did to Cal 3 years ago I think in the Holiday Bowl after Cal complained about not making a BCS ahead of Texas.

We rushed Green Street right away and then we brought 2 bottles of Champagne into Firehaus, probably wasn't the best idea. Then I gave my buddy a mohawk in front of DI reporters and a couple TV cameras. I still haven't seen anything anywehere unfortunately. What an awesome day.

I was going to post that I didn't think these three games are mismatches. They may turn out to be blowouts, but I don't think it's certain.

I could see Hawaii losing to an inferior Nevada team since they tend to struggle off the islands the past few years - especially at higher elevations such as Reno.
