Ball State is now 3-17 and must win 6 of their last 11 games just to equal last year's worst season in program history. Man, I'm so happy I'm the school paper's beat writer.

The Davis High boys team that I cover is 3-18 and 0-8 in their league this year. It will be a miracle if they win a game this year. In one of their games earlier this year that they lost by 34, they shot 12 percent from the field in the game. I feel your pain.

SEC isnt much, if any, better. They have the best team of the 2 conferences, but other than that the 2 conferences are alot alike.

I can't get enough of blowing out Arizona. It's just a shame Lute wasn't around for this one. That's 6 (blowout) losses in a row for "the Standard." Still think you guys are "the Standard" of the Pac?

Tennesee is pretty clearly the best team, but I'd probably take the next 5 from the Big 10 before taking an SEC team.

Yay! We're better than Northwestern......barely. DJ and EJ combined for 55 points on 17-25 from the field and 15-19 from the line, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Rest of team had 20 points on 7-27 shooting, 2-2 from the line, 19 rebounds (doesn't include 5 team rebounds), 12 assists and 1 steal.

What the hell is going on in the Big 10?

 

I'm not sure there is anything wrong with the Big 10 this year. It was pretty evident from seasons start that there were a handful of teams with similar talent/performance levels. There was no obvious clear cut elite team.

Couple that with the difficulty of winning on the road in the Big 10, I fully expect to see continued movement at the top.

Ty Lawson left the game four minutes into the game against Florida State, but Carolina still won in overtime. If he has to miss nay time on Wednesday, that swings the advantage squarely to Duke. Lawson is the one that makes that team run, not Hansbrough. They already lost their backup point guard for the season so if Lawson can't play that leaves Quentin Thomas playing almost all of the game for UNC at point guard. They might go Ellington at PG for the rest of the game, but Lawson is UNC's MVP.

Yeah, well that lurker had it coming. I don't know if there will ever be enough blowout wins over Arizona to make me forget Salim Stoudamire and Hassan Adams jacking up 3-pointers with 1 minute left in games Arizona was already up by 35.

Yea I was just being gentle. After Tenn, the SEC as Hosak put it is "total ass". Id take IU, Mich State, and Wisconsin over the next 3 best SEC teams, and Id likely take Purdue as well.
