So, let's count all the "lucky" breaks that the Cubs caught in this game.

 

- Marquis sucked.

- DeRosa drops easy double play ball that would've ended what ended up being a three run inning.

- Kendall, Murton, and Ward all just miss home runs that would have been out at just about any other ballpark.

- Soriano wrongly called out at first.

- Hermida makes a sliding catch to record an out. Floyd tries the same and gets hit in the face with the ball.

- Several questionable strikes going the Marlins' way.

- Edit: And a late addition, Linden makes another sliding grab to end the game.

 

Can anyone think of any more? That horseshoe really came in handy tonight.

I'm just sorta drunk, so I'm pretty mellow right now. I'm not even watching the end of the Cubs' game. Decided to watch Top Chef instead.
