Dempster having the kind of outing that would have been useful when he threw away the last game of the Dodgers series.

Dempster didnt throw away that last game. He went 0-2/1-2 on every batter. he gave up a double (groundball, i believe) that just happened to sneak past lee down the line. Then he gave up yet another groundball that Lee bobbled (should have been the double play), then he gave up yet ANOTHER ground ball that found a hole in the infield.

Then he just made a bad pitch and paid for it with a wind-blown home run.

Dempster pitched well. if anything; it should have been a 2 run jack and not a 3. But one could say that maybe the infielders would have been in different positions if the bases were clear (had lee been able to turn the dp).

I get so sick of people blaming that game on dempster.

wow this big ten network sounds great, thanks a bunch comcast and big ten a-holes

Yeah, why the hell are they advertising it in Houston.

probably because they can watch it down there.... but i only live in the home of one of the more prominent big ten members, so why should i be able to watch it too?

same deal here in ohio. time warner customers are pissed.

to be fair, the big ten network is asking $1.10 per customer to add it to basic cable, and that's a joke. I don't blame comcast or time warner for protesting that fee.

Ya know what else Lou could do Bob??

Just let the damn team play. No hit and runs, no bunts, just let them swing the damn bats without giving up outs.

He did that for most of the year, and it didn't work out so well. Nothing seems to work, and it's frustrating as hell.

Meh. He's just over-managing because this offense sucks, and he's trying everything he can to get a run in. It's not his fault there aren't good players on this team.

Now the rest of his managing...

That worked well against LA last week.

I'm sorry, there's a better chance of 1 out of 2 guys getting a base hit than 1 out of 3 guys getting an extra base hit, especially when those guys are mostly people that shouldn't have anything to do with a division winning team.

interesting. sucks for time warner though, the longer this drags out, the more people are going to go to satellite.

But there's not much of a chance of Pie getting doubled off.

I generally like Lou as a manager(which shocks me)

But his reactionary BS is just awful. Oh, we grounded into some DPs, let's keep on bunting!!!

It helps sometime, i.e. here we don't score on 3 sac bunts, let's get Pie outta there and somebody who can hit, but he's not patient enough. It helps at times, but it's infuriating at others.

Theriot really needs that rest. Maybe not getting the leadoff man on is a good sign after the past few.

Theriot is one Carlos Lee diving catch away from everyone slobbing on his knob.

Rest, really? These guys are professional athletes.

But there are good players on this team. That's the frustrating part.
