I actually agree with Lou's decision to bunt Pie because of Pie's struggles at the plate this year. I don't agree with the bunt with Kendall that set up the walk to Ward though. Kendall's been playing well the last 3-4 games, and there wasn't any reason to give away an out there.

this would be such a cubbish loss... a combination of poor managing, inept situational hitting, and sticking with a lousy starting pitcher too long

 

it's pretty much a guaranteed loss at this point. i'm still wondering what's the difference between lou and dusty. lou used to talk about "going with the hot hand", but all we're seeing is crappy veterans down the stretch.
