Rich Hill has already done such great work against the Brewers at Wrigley this year. I don't see any reason for concern over this game.

Remember how the Ramirez walkoff game started? Hill was horrible.

No sarcasm. I thought 5ER on 2.2IP and 90 pitches was fantastic work. This is supported by the fact that the Cubs won.

just out of curiosity...what were you guys expecting from this team without Soriano and second how do you think they performed in the 3 week stretch?

 

 

I was hoping for .500 but I guess I can't complain with the outcome. I mean that was a big loss and we performed OK. Thanks pitching staff!

Yeah, we were 8-11 without him yet somehow managed to gain 2.5 games in the standings.

 

Ryan Braun is going to have a monster series... if we let him.

 

I'm hoping for a sweep, but 2 out of 3 is a must.

With Hill and Lilly on the mound, Id be tempted to give Braun the Barry Bonds treatment, but the whole damn team mashes lefties. I know it would be rare, and probably crazy, I would have been tempted to call up Gallagher and let him get a spot start against the Brewers.

I thought for sure this was a day game... damn it!

I came here to say the same thing. I'm not at all looking forward to waiting another 9.5 hours for this one to get going. Lots of testing and a dentist appt between now and then... this is going to be a looong day.
