I don't understand why many on here thought it would be okay to fire Baker and keep Hendry another year.

I don't understand how you can think very many people on here wanted Hendry around for this season. A lot of people wanted both gone, not just Baker.

You must not have been around a lot last year. Trust me, there were many on here who said they'd give Hendry another year and then fire him.

From my recollection (keep in mind I've drank and slept since then), the majority of those that voiced an opinion on Hendry were not exactly supportive of him.

Z looked pretty bad today, but he got about zero help. Two dropped pop ups, his catcher can't find the ball, his catcher can't throw the ball. Hilarious.

Usually I would point to the pitcher on a cross-up, but they're happening way too often with Barrett.

There is plenty of suckatude to go around

And to think some of us wanted a rebuilding year that included trading both these guys in the offseason.

And Joe Girardi would have been the perfect skipper for that process. Too bad he wasn't available. Oh, wait.

Joe Girardi sucks. I'm sick of the "Joe would have been better". He's an old school, bunt-the-man over, double-switching moron. He's already ruined one of the more promising pitchers in baseball. Let him damage some other team's players.

Lou might suck, Girardi swallows.

maybe the fight will be what our team needs - you know, showing some fight and energy...

Just saw it in full again.

Z's initial words to Barrett were actually somewhat calm, although the pointing to the head was insulting, to say the least. You can't see Barrett's mouth, but knowing how much he argued with Lou after getting picked off, I'm guessing he was just as bitchy in response. Just before the actual physical contact, Zambrano was backing away. Barrett must have set him off with whatever he said just before they clashed.

Both definitely deserve blame.

Z was pointing at his head as if to tell Barrett to use his head more (How ironic, huh?). Then it looked like Barrett pointed at the scoreboard to show Carlos his one mistake is miniscule compared to all the hits Z had given up already. Then Carlos went ape and attacked.

Braves are peeing their pants right now.

Eyre is in.

Yeah, it's stats-padding time. This is when every hitter wants in the game.

chipper jones is pissed that he had to go on the DL.

i can't wait for some meatball to seriously make the argument that the fight actually helps the team and it shows heart and grit.

I don't think there's any way someone can say anything other than it shows extreme stupidity and immaturity from both men, particularly Zambrano, and supreme blowage from the entire team.

The only good could be if it inspires some personel changes.

You know what... I think this fight might be a good thing. It might get the team going. It's good some guys are showing some emotion. A 10 game winning streak is coming!

When and where did they clash? I turned the TV off as Zambrano was walking off the mound. I'm guessing I'll be seeing this on SportsCenter.

I really don't see those two working together again. Hill and Z the battery until Blanco comes back.

Agreed. The only spark I am hopeful of seeing is one in the front office.

So before Blanco was DL'd, he was scheduled to be Z's personal catcher. Can we infer that Barrett and Z had issues before today's slugfest?

In the dugout during the middle of the 5th. And this will be ALL over SportsCenter.

Actually, things were still calm right after the point to the scoreboard. Barrett said something else without pointing right before they tussled.

Francoeur singled to right field , Renteria scorfed

For some reason, I read this as "scoffed" as if Renteria yelled "pansy" or something across the field at Francoeur for only getting a single against Eyre.
