If I recall correctly, it was a May (June) series against the Braves at Wrigley where I really realized that they weren't going to snap out of the tailspin. The game where 2 runs scored on a sac fly, and the game where the ball went off Ramirez's head were the two plays that stood out in my head.

 

This season is just a more expensive remake of last season...

Uh, I'd like to be one of the first to say that the last three years was not just Baker's fault. It looks as if Piniella doesn't have control over this team, either. Nice work, Hendry. I don't understand why many on here thought it would be okay to fire Baker and keep Hendry another year.

I do as well. I think he's melting down. He was arguing with Lou after getting picked off. Now he's arguing with Zambrano. Chip is blaming it all on Zambrano, but from my end it looked like both guys went at each other.

Oh yeah, if Barrett isn't hitting, he has absolutely no value at all. He's been completely awful this year.

 

Two of the more disappointing players on the team fighting each other. Like Bob said, it would have been better suited if they used that energy to fight the other team.
