Nothing really special other than Conine.

Chicago Cubs Vs. Kyle Lohse

Wow... Hopefully Ramirez and DeRosa can start. Soriano should have a good day.

Thank you kind sir, for making the game what it is today.

That being said, I'm going to be at this game. So, Cubs, please dont suck. Please score like 8 billion runs against Lohse loser. Thanks.

Roast.

Throwing LHPs against the Reds is a very good idea.

Also, this would be as good a time as any to get Murton and Floyd together in the OF.

I'm going to be at this game... and everybody should be able to spot me.

When they show the over-the-shoulder view of right-handers in the batters box, I should be the guy with the goatee in the grey sweatshirt with a cubs logo on the left breast and black sunglasses right over the batter's shoulder.

I would agree. I hope that they think that one of the two can play RF defensively because as you said this is a perfect game to pair them together. If they don't feel that way, then this is one of the few games where I don't care which of the LF's gets the start (as opposed to me wanting Murton to start on Friday and Floyd on Saturday).

Go CUBS !!!

The 2 stats at the top confused me at first, because I thought "how could they not be the same?" But then realized that when they won that 1 game after a win, then the next game didn't count in their record when they won their 1 previous game, because they had won 2 the 2 previous games. Confusing?

I wanted to quote the other stat to show that Jones and Soriano have sucked in RBI situations.

CUBS are seeing 3.67 pitches per plate appearance...... compared to 3.68 last year and 3.61 in '05

Early as it is, this is interesting.

Meanwhile, I'll be away for a week starting tomorrow morning - Go Cubs! It'd be great to be above .500 when I get back.

Even more interesting...... through 4 or 5 innings today (I forget which) the CUBS had seen 4.25 P/PA...... then they rallied to finish at 3.61 P/PA on the day.

Anyone know if Aramis might be back today, even if just off the bench?

The Trib article this morning seemed to indicate that he is out at least one more day. I personally would let him rest until they at least the last game of the SD series, and maybe just wait until they got down to Atl where it is likely to be warmer.
